pride but not happy
I live here in this beautiful valley
wich is in the north of Peru
I love my place
because we have all the colors
since the most beautiful blue in the sky
until all the shades of green on the hills
^ Wow gorgeous!!!
This thread makes me so happy. I love discovering new places, traveling, but most of all, getting to know a city through someone else's love and appreciation of the place.... that's the best part of traveling

I live in Stamford, Connecticut (a city about 45 minutes out of NYC). There is a big downtown area in my city, but also beautiful forests (I live in the forest outskirting the city). It's a place with lots of modern architecture, but lots of classic as well. I guess it's a place where city and country meet, and I like that, because you can get away from all the noise if you want, or immerse yourself in it.
The pictures (from left to right) are:
1. Stamford's mall ("Scenes from a Mall" starring Woody Allen and Bette Midler was filmed here)
2. Woods (this looks like where I live)
4. 4th of July fireworks over Stamford.
5. More woods.
6. UConn Stamford.
7. Restaurant downtown.
9. Interesting church steeple.
10. The Avon Theatre, which shows classic, art, indie, and foreign cinema.
