Perhaps just being overindulgent in involving fashion and couture...and even wanting to have complete attention of certain individuals.

Holden Caulfield and the majority of Vonnegut's protagonists, mainly Billy Pilgrim. Heroes in the sense that they maintained believable actions feasible by common man.

Lady Chatterley, Aslan, Katherine (The Taming of the Shrew)...lovely woman really!

Lucille Ball, Susan B. Anthony and Eleanor Roosevelt.

I'm extremely content to be myself, but Queen Elizabeth, the Virgin Queen although she certainly was not.
My reasoning being that she was independent, intelligent, graceful and immensely powerful. She ruled in a time in which males dominated the world...she altered common standards of authoratative figures.
