^ Thanks. I'll probably still watch it cause Armie looks hot and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Nathan Lane. Julia actually looks quite good in the red dress.

It's much more of a classic Snow White to SWATH, which has so many deviations, but Tarsem is an aesthetic genius, his work always looks amazing, Immortals being a case in point. I actually think this SW could win out, the other has far to many variants at the moment.

More pics of the Tarsem Singh's Snow White:

This film looks like it's going to appeal to a wider audience, kind of like Pirates of the Caribbean, Alice in Wonderland, or Chronicles of Narnia.
So it may do better at the box office than the Universal version.

Well... I'll probably go see Lily's SW just because of the costumes! They look glorious.

if people compare SWatH to LotR then it´s fair to compare this SW to Burton´s Alice... I´d like to see this one in 3D just to see these costumes POP!

^To be honest, I don't really understand why people compare SWATH to LOTR. To me they are pretty different, yeah they both have a fantasy element to them, but LOTR is more complex and whatnot. But I definitely see what you are saying about this SW and Burton's Alice. I think it's the outlandish costumes that are making the two comparable.

Lily's movie looks good. I'll probably go see it just for Nathan Lane though.

interestingly tho, i was too, instantly, reminded of Burton's Alice upon seeing this. just a tad lighter version feeling from the stills. paradox is even more funnier considering Burton's costume designer is actually working on Universal's version. i'm gonna wait for a trailer for this to see if i'm going to see this.

The Lily Collins' Snow White has finally got a title!

Quote:
Relativity’s Snow White Film Titled MIRROR MIRROR
by Adam Chitwood Posted:November 4th, 2011 at 1:26 pm

Thank the maker! It’s finally time to put Untitled Snow White Project That’s Not the One with Kristen Stewart to bed, as Relativity’s competing Snow White project finally has a title: Mirror Mirror. It’s a fine title, and pretty much gets the point across that we’re dealing with fairy tales here. While there’s a multitude of Snow White movies in development, this one differs greatly from its main competitor, Snow White and the Huntsman. The Kristen Stewart-led pic is an epic, dark, and gritty take on the fairy tale, while Mirror Mirror is described as a lighthearted comedy action-adventure.

The Fall’s Tarsem Singh directs, so we’re in for a visual treat, and Lily Collins stars as the eponymous Snow White. The supporting cast that includes Julia Roberts as the Evil Queen, Armie Hammer as the prince, Sean Bean as the King, as well as Nathan Lane. Click here to check out a number of images from the film, which should give you a better idea of the tone. Mirror Mirror opens March 16th, 2012.
Also, a full press release was sent out by Relativity:
Quote:
(Beverly Hills, Calif.) November 4, 2011 – Relativity Media announced today that the long-awaited title for its upcoming spectacular reimagining of the classic Snow White fairy tale is Mirror Mirror. Filming for the comedy action adventure wrapped in mid-September under the stylish direction of Tarsem Singh (Immortals, The Cell). The theatrical release date is set for March 16, 2012.

The newly titled film Mirror Mirror, stars breakout star Lily Collins (The Blind Side) as an exiled princess who enlists the help of seven resourceful rebels to win back her birthright and Oscar®-winner Julia Roberts as an evil Queen who steals control of a kingdom, in a magical adventure comedy filled with jealousy, romance, and betrayal that will capture the imagination of audiences the world over. The film also stars Armie Hammer (The Social Network) as the object of their affection, Prince Andrew Alcott, and Nathan Lane (The Birdcage) as the hapless and bungling servant to the Queen.

Rounding out the cast are: Sean Bean (HBO’s Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings: The Return of The King), Mare Winningham (Brothers) as Baker Margaret, Michael Lerner (Elf) as Baron and Mark Povinelli (Water for Elephants), Jordan Prentice (Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle), Danny Woodburn (Watchmen), Sebastian Saraceno (Bedtime Stories), Ronald Lee Clark (Epic Movie), Martin Klebba (Pirates of The Caribbean) and Joey Gnoffo (The Benchwarmers) as the Seven Dwarfs.

The film’s producers are Bernie Goldmann (300), Ryan Kavanaugh (The Fighter), and Brett Ratner (Rush Hour franchise). The script was written by Melisa Wallack (Meet Bill) and Jason Keller (Machine Gun Preacher).

Looking ahead, Relativity will release its highly-anticipated epic action-adventure Immortals on November 11, 2011, starring Henry Cavill, Stephen Dorff, Isabel Lucas, Freida Pinto, Luke Evans and Kellan Lutz with John Hurt and Mickey Rourke. Relativity’s expansive 2012 slate also includes its Haywire (in theatres January 20, 2012), Act of Valor (in theatres February 17, 2012), The Raven (in theatres March 9, 2012), Untitled Farrelly/Wessler Project (in theatres April 13, 2012), House at the End of the Street (in theatres April 20, 2012), Safe Haven (in theatres June 1, 2012) and Hunter Killer (in theatres December 21, 2012).

I don't get why it can't just be called Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
