I had my German A-level test today my head was completely blank, all I could think was Swedish.
How would you say in German:
You are going to enjoy your time at our summer cottage.
There is a store near the cottage.
I would like to recommend this restaurant to all of my friends.

I think I failed badly in forming those sentences! Could somebody help me?

Du wirst deine Zeit in unserem Sommerhaus (Ferienhaus) genießen.
Es gibt einen Laden neben dem Ferienhaus. (Neben dem Ferienhaus gibt es einen Laden)
Ich würde dieses Restaurant gerne allen meinen Freunden empfehlen.

In some cases but "neben" means right next to someone/something.
"In der Nähe" means near like : I live near Stuttgart though if you say : I live near Nicky it means that you live next to Nicky.

^ Tell me about it.

Does anyone have a trick as to how to tell the difference between the accusative and dative case in German?

Haha okay guys let's turn this in my special German class!

I don't know how to explain german grammar myself because I just use it without thinking about how it works (but I agree that it's quite complexe even for me).

Accusative is for the direct object, you're asking "Wen oder was?" (Who/whom or what).

Dative is "Wem oder was"? (Whom as in who..to or what).

That's the easiest way to differentiate them at least how I learneed it back then in 4th grade.

Hey, is it correct to say:

I identified myself with the course when I started to search more about it.

^I could relate to the course material the more I read about it

Just needs to be a little more specific,
and identify is more formal than relate
but can be used the same way. "I identified with the main character in this book."

Japanese?

"On the train, I saw someone who was cosplaying going to a convention."

私は電車で協議会行きのコスプレイヤーを見た。
watashi wa densha de kyougikai iki no cosplayer wo mita.

OR
協議会に行ってるコスプレイヤーを見た is better?
kyougikai ni itteru cosplayer wo mita.
