^woz is on centre court again?! i'm sorry but even the most popular players this week have been moved around from court to court. and serena and maria have this week. and once again, kvitova relegated to court 14. that's just appalling lack of respect, not to mention reeking of pure and utter bias. what a way to show respect to champs organisers
Saw some bits of Tsonga vs Raonic. These sort of epic matches sometimes achieve a level of fascination just because they never end but this seemed pretty entertaining. Match point was awesome.

i just can't wrap my head around that. any other time wozniacki would be the one on an outer court more than centre court. serena, vika, maria and kvitova would be the ones on the main show courts. with aga and stosur out they're the highest seeds left and every single one of them hold major titles. the level of preferential treatment in this situation rubs me wrong.
i'm actually surprised no one in the tennis media thus far has noticed this.
wow, kvitova obliterated flavia today. i hope she keeps playing like that! she does she will be in a great position for a medal.
and maria--tough,tough match today against lisicki. that one for much of it had me on pins and needles. wished the result had mirrored wimbledon but maria has looked very shaky this week. her second serve unbelievably has got her out of more trouble than anything. amazing how that one aspect of her game(which could be a liability in the past against players like lisicki) has improved the most the last 3 months.
Hi all, wanted to let you know that I won't be playing Toronto this year. I am not ready to play and I hope to be back in 2014 at that great tournament that has always treat me very well. I am continuing with my recup and practice. Thanks!
Unfortunately, it looks like my info was good, and he won't be playing until the USO!
yeah petra could not get a read on kirilenko's serve. it's a pity because i was looking forward to kvitova and sharapova again on grass. but kirilenko did just reach the QF of wimby and she is dangerous, regardless so congrats and well done! hopefully against sharapova we get to see another intense battle like we saw at indian wells.
well it looks like it will be serena VS maria in the gold medal match. maria though better be prepared to love silver because unfortunately for her she hasn't beaten serena in almost 8 years....a few of those at serena's worst form.....i can't imagine her doing anything spectacular against the form she has at the moment.
the most intriguing will probably be the bronze match....kirilenko against likely azarenka. intriguing in the sense that they haven't faced one another in two years and as we all can tell, both women since that year are very different players....for the better,of course. kirilenko is a much stronger competitor than she was then,so i say it's up in the air. could be a total surprise.
this year's olympics,to sort of touch on the event overall for the women, generally has been pretty predictable compared with years past, apart the early loss from radwanska and kvitova going down to kirilenko yesterday. i think 2008 was a bit more surprising in that we didn't expect dementieva to bring her absolute best that year, especially with serena, venus, kuznetsova and an in-form jankovic in tow....never mind the russian contingent sweeping the singles competition altogether. athens was a bit more in line with the standings given that serena and kim weren't involved....most surprising that time was myskina losing out on bronze to molik, imo.
I'm probably being stupid, but I think Maria can do it!
and I want Vika to win the bronze medal.
Federer- del Potro...simply wow! such a shame that was the SF, both of them deserved a medal, and I don't know if delPo can beat Murray/Novak after such a long match.
congrats to andy! i think it's his first win over novak on the big stage, also. so two triumphs in one day. good for him. and a repeat of wimby. either way it goes in the final,we will have a brit medal in tennis. and he and laura robson are still alive in mixed so a great olympics for the host nation.
So gutted I was at work when Federer vs Del Potro was on and I missed it all. Trying to find time to watch highlights but so busy right now.
I did get to see most of Murray vs Djokovic. Incredible win for Andy to set up the Wimbledon rematch. He was so resilient in the second set saving break points in almost every service game.
Only problem for him is the Mixed Doubles. The schedule is behind so he could end up playing twice tomorrow, then the best of five on Sunday.
congrats to vika on nabbing the bronze medal. i had a feeling after kvitova went out,it would likely play itself out like this. and such a lopsided final so far. serena is up 5/0 in the first.
egads,i was looking at serena's stats for the week, her average match consisted of only a loss of 3 games. and today against one of the most powerful women, she only lost a single game....the equivalent of what she did against zvonareva. and zvonareva isn't even in great form right now. she made sharapova look pedestrian out there. serena is definitely in maria's head now.
Serena was just ridiculous this tournament, just unplayable. Amazing win for her to get that career golden slam.
Also been cheering all day for the Brits in Mixed Doubles. Murray plays twice tomorrow, singles and mixed dubs with Robson. Crowd at Wimbledon going wild.
