She looked good in that Oscar de la renta. And for people who think she's shorter than her 5'10" figure, you could see how she towered over everyone in that episode.

uh keep in mind she was wearing about 4 inch heels as well....she's actually about 5'9 or 5'8 1/2

I think it's obvious VS is pushing Adriana to take over the lead spot, with her doing all the promoting for the show with Heidi, and I'm sure Adriana will do the morning talk shows and the local morning shows aka The Today Show, and Good Morning America and etc, and along with her leading off the runway with Heidi before any of the rest of the models left the runway it was kind of obvious on VS's part to say "here are our two front runners" So it's obvious they are prepping Adriana for that spot, but it's just hard to watch heidi when she's boring to the regular person by know. Adriana is doing quite a lot to get her name out there with appearances on shows, and mini tours, and autograph signings, and going on her first game show (she did this week) Soshe's not far behind, I'm just looking forward to Heidi fading out in the next couple years and Adriana stepping up and Ale following. Plus Heidi was never offered a 5 year contract like Adriana and Ale were...so it's kind of obvious the only reason they keep her around is because of her name..but just some things I've read about how Heidi acts if she doesn't get the biggest wings disgusts me.

holy lawd, CC, you gotta give it a rest! we know that you're obsessed with Adriana being the big VS star Angel -- and she is, so just take a breath and chill. no need to constantly hate on Heidi. she can't help it that she's the biggest star of the lot. she's about 1000 times more famous than any of the other Angels, Adriana included. so obviously she's going to be the one to do all the promotion. plus, though Adri's english has certainly improved, she still sounds awkward at times whereas Heidi sounds entirely American in her speech.

Heidi is the money maker. she's the star. she's "The face of Victoria's Secret" in America so she will continue to be milked until she runs dry. Adriana is doing well to get as much publicity as she does. and your earlier comment about not considering Heidi a supermodel but considering Adriana one is laughable. Adriana had a very minimal high fashion career. sure, it was more than Heidi's ... but Heidi has had a much more successful commercial career. she is a household name and has been for near a damn decade. of the Angels, really only Doutzen and Karolina have had great success in high fashion.

i'm sick of Heidi as well. she's by far not my favourite Angel. and i actually prefer Adriana over her. but it is the way it is. no sense ranting on and on about it.

mmm considering they're were about 100 pics of her from when she was on set that day...yea.

Any yes Happycanadian, I know that she is the star. But if you would see it from a diff point of view you would more than likely understand. Karolina has done many late show appearances, and did one with her fantasy bra...and I'm sorry she's a lot less known than Adriana. If KK had been with Victoria's Secret for 10 years, been an angel for 8 and just got the fantasy bra, and then Heidi comes out in a diamond lined outfit, and that's all people can talk about, and then Heidi is the one doing all the promoting for the show...when it was KK's 10th year, she was wearing the fantasy bra, she had been named the sexiest woman alive over and over...and she was being overshadowed by heidi once again....I think you'd see it a little differently.

And my point is yes Heidi's the star of VS right now, but Adriana and Ale have been coming up for years and IMO if Victoria's Secret would push aside Heidi and start promoting Adriana and Ale more than they wouldn't have to keep her around because they'd be having a few more household names, like I said they've been really pushing Adriana to do that and that's why I was excited about this year because it's obvious they are grooming her to take over Heidi's spot, but IMO when it's obvious they are doing that, they let Heidi overshadow a lot.

Also my problem persist in Heidi's attitude, I think it's extremely immature to throw hissy fits when she doesn't get the biggest wings and most expensive outfit. And it's commonly known when she does. Like I said I know Adriana will do morning talk shows to promote and most likely do a press junket, but it gets on some fans nerves when people who don't deserve to be promoted anymore do...If ANY model in VS was treated this way I would be upset, it's a totally unfair situation...Also about being the face of Victoria's Secret...absolutly no way do most people think of her and VS hardly anymore, most people think of Adriana and Alessandra when it comes to the face of VS...this woman does maybe 1 commercial for them a year maybe 1 or 2 promotions for them, and is never in the catalog (oh excuse me there were 10 extremly airbrushed shots this year) .

I mean heck my own grandmother (who is pretty young for a grandmother) was looking at the pictures the other day and was shocked when I told her that was Heidi Klum with the response "She was around when your mother was young, Isn't she to old to be modeling" and that is most people's response...

But whatever, until it happens to someone's #1 model they aren't going to see it...I know they're are some people that agree with me, and some don't. Don't get me wrong I'm not hating Heidi personally, I just don't agree with what she's doing...

But anyway moving on

other than her fame,I think alot has to do with Heidi speaking such great English. No stammering around her words and thinking about what to say next bc she doesn't know how to say something in English. I love Adriana to death but out of any brazilian models, Gisele,Izabel,Alessandra,Anabb,Isabeli her accent seems to be the thickest and hardest to understand. maybe that has a major part to it. KK was on shows bc her english is so good too. If you notice around these times, they interview Heidi,Marisa,Selita the most on gossip shows, etc... probably bc they speak so well and can get their point across without the audience saying huh??? lol

I kind of agree, but keep in mind the part of Brazil where she is from they speak slower and naturally they're accent is thicker, so it's part of just the way she speaks. And as much as I love Ale, I think she's harder to understand but I love Ale all the same. But again the girls go through speech class as part of their angel training, and Adriana's english has improved a great deal this year, it just makes me ponder because they continue to put her on the morning news such as the today show every year to promote the show when usually the people that watch that show would have a harder time understanding her more so than the late show audience. Also Adriana is the one they use in radio shows the most...so I honestly Don't think it has anything to with her speaking abilities, I just think this year really belonged to Adriana opening the show closing the same segment, wearing the fantasy bra, and she'll do morning talk shows and probably local talk shows and I'm happy that they are moving her into the lead position and I'm glad she's the one doing the autograph signing with Heidi, because I feel like it's VS's way of saying here's out next lead angel after Heidi, and that's great, I just wish Heidi would move faster out of the way lol SO Adriana can move up and then Ale and so on.

So I'm happy they are grooming Dri for Heidi's position, and I'm happy she'll do her morning talk shows and local shows this year, and the promotions for this year at the store, But I just wish Heidi wouldn't insist on stealing the thunder from every model at the show, she brings a whole new face to the word Media whore.

yeah her english has improved but I would say that may be the one reason why they don't use her for some things as much as Heidi bc she certainly is the biggest angel next to heidi and it wouldn't make any sense otherwise not to use her more! so I dunno, I understand Heidi is famous and stuff and don't mind her doing some things, but not almost everything! that's just not fair, I do agree about that. I just wish everything was more evened out amongst all the angels.

I am greatful for one thing though!!! She didn't sing this year and it seems like she just walks! hopefully they don't edit the show to be surrounded on her, that would suck big time.

has adriana been on E news yet? bc Monday Marisa is giving them a backstage look behind the show, I just saw that on e news weekend today, lol

No but Adriana did some interviews that haven't come out yet for some big stations, I'm guessing they'll come out this week. She's also got the VIP Gala, and the store signing, on Dec 2nd and 3rd and like I said I'm sure she'll probably do a press junket and morning show interviews to promote the show..but other than that I'm not sure

Actually, Adriana's english is still bad. I mean I'm younger than she is, and I don't live or spend a lot of time in America surrounded by native people and still I never say a word like "peoples"...
Like I said before, imo, she's sexy and cute until she opens her mouth. Sorry.

well I'm sorry but I think her English has gotten quite good, and if VS didn't think so she wouldn't be the one doing most of the radio interviews, having her own mini tour where she did many interviews on news stations and etc. I'm sorry to say Adriana sounds unintelligent when you can blame it on the accent and then say Heidi sounds intelligent when she says "idears" is totally wrong...English is not my first language but I still have trouble pronouncing words all the time...and one of Adriana's main problems is she's a perfectionist, so I think she gets frustrated when she speaks and when she messes up she just kind of stumbles to try and correct herself when she should just keep going. I think she speaks totally fine, and her English is quite good, she messes up a bit but not any more than most people do when they are trying to give an impressive interview.

English is one of the hardest languages to learn, and I think Adriana has done just fine. It's never easy learning to become fluent in a language, so I applaud her for at least learning and speaking it well enough for people to understand.
