Day By Day Armageddon by J.L. Bourne (continuing) - zombie book

Fifty Shades Of Grey by E.L. James - i'm only three chapters in and the writing sucks (which is expected), just in it for the goodies lol

Just started Rosshalde by Hermann Hesse (again).
I've been so reluctant to properly dive into this book for it seemd quite mediocre compared to the rest of his opus, while also taking in consideration thematics was something I can't truly relate to... However, I finally made myself keep reading and it actually feels like a pleasant summer reading.

Thank you for the indirect suggestion! Very curious on that one, taking into account he's a former journalist turned architect.

Sanctus - Simon Toyne
50 Shades of Grey - EL James
- I read this because I was sick of folks bangin' on about it and I think it is hilarious. Not sure if it's meant to be, or it's because I'm a guy. Never read this kind of book before though.

Currently reading....

50 Shades Darker - El James

Have any other guys here read these books? I would love to know your opinions.

^ 50 Shades is definitely ridiculous. In the beginning I was totally into it, but as you read on you realize that it's pretty much repetitive. They fight. They make up. They get it on. It's the same thing every chapter, but with that said I couldn't put it down

^^^I can't even watch the trailer for the last film or the last film itself without tearing up. I'm ridiculous, I know, but I don't care what anybody says, those books were pure art and what's more they are deeply ingrained, if they do not plainly define, a generation.

Anyway I'm reading Midnight in the Garden of Good in Evil when I'm not reading The Quiet American. Graham Greene is such an amazing writer. They don't make them like him anymore.

The Harry Potter series was a rite of passage for our generation.

if my future kids won't love the HP books i will give them up for adoption

it's weird that you start reading them now, they are such autumn/winter books for me, every time it gets darker and colder outside i have the urge to go back to Hogwarts (one reason why i love autumn so much)
