I really liked Emma a lot but my heart belongs to P&P. At the moment, they are the only Austen novels I've completed. I think the only Austen adaptation I've seen is Colin Firth's P&P but I'm going to try catch up with them all.

Well maybe you've seen Clueless? (which is Emma) or perhaps Bridget Jone's Diary? (which is a loose adaptation, but close in spirit, of P&P). Oh there are so many. The Mansfield Park adaptation by Patricia Rozema is definitely worth a look! And I love the Pride and Prejudice with Keira Knightley; I think it's her best performance ever.

I haven't seen Clueless!! I'm so bad with cult teen movies but I've heard it's great fun. I do actually adore Bridget Jones Diary and I can watch that film again and again; I also enjoyed Bride and Prejudice! I have to admit I stopped watched Keira's P&P after a few minutes as her voice really irritated me but as I've come to really like her I'll give it another shot. I'll check out Mansfield Park if I can find it on Netflix!

Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson (started it today and i'm already 1/4 through the book, and could kept going if it wasn't because i runned out of daylight, but it is indeed such a powerful book. you really get inside the principal character's mind)
