Okay, so I watched "13 Going on 30" the other day, and I quite liked Jennifer Garner's wardrobe for the most part. I then noticed that I usually really like the style of most New York fashionista movie characters (which is obviously the point of their wardrobe choices). Anyway, which of these character's style are you most partial to?
Kate Hudson in "How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days"

Upon closer inspection, these wardrobes really aren't anything exceptional. However, post your thoughts on the topic if you have any.

Gwyneth Paltrow in The talented Mr. Ripley (retro)
Renee Russo in the Thomas Crown Affair (dressy)
Cameron Diaz in Charlie´s Angels and There´s something about Mary (casual)
I could go on forever but let´s start with these...
Delphine Seyrig in "Last Year at Marienbad" is absolutely inspiring. Wardrobe by Coco Chanel herself. Any fan of film or fashion that hasn't seen it, absolutely owes it to himself.
I see a lot of Karl's latest Chanel couture ripped from this film.
Margot Tenenbaum (Gwyneth Paltrow) from the Royal Tenenbaums. All Lacoste polo dresses with penny loafers and one drugstore barette in her hair. She also wears little kids gloves. She wore them even in the scenes of her as a kid. For colder weather she wore a mink coat over it.
All the characters had a "uniform" throughout the movie from their childhood through adulthood.
Also, all the characterse in Brideshead Revisited. I love all of the flapper dresses Julia (Diana Quick) wore and I think I would die if I could find a man who would dress like Sebastian (Anthony Andrews) or Charles (Jeremy Irons). I just love that time period and the clothes that the people in that society wore.
