This girl is long overdue on the top money girls rank, i know for a fact she's above 50% of the girls in that list.

I think Arlenis could make a strong runway comeback with another agency. I think Marilyn started to get that steady Lancome check and then stopped grinding. I went back to her first thread and read the first few pages and it reminded me just how huge the buzz around Arlenis was. It really was unlike anything we'd seen in years. The start right out of the gate was unheard of. No development or anything. The industry was primed to make her it's next star. She should be as big as Karlie, Joan, Arizona.

Not throwing shade at Marilyn or anything. They are a business and they are about their money, and Arlenis certainly brings in a ton. I just think had her career been managed a bit better she'd be a the very top of the industry right now, fashion and commercial.

I agree completely and wholehartedly. I feel like the same thing has happened to several of Marilyn's black models.

I love Marilyn I think they are one of the best agencies out there they really do a great job with their girls. They have done an amazing job with Arlenis, she went up really fast, whithin a few weeks in NY she got a beauty contract, Vogue, Met Gala, Steven Meisel, editorials after editorials. Did more than amazing her first season in NY did every major designer. Then ok in Europe. Arlenis wasn't ready her first season (mostly body wise) but she came into the industry at the right time when they were looking for a black girl with all the hype about Vogue Italia black issue. Then Victoria Secret and other jobs she was making a lot of money and kinda really didn't need to do the shows. She did a few shows here and there including London for a couple of seasons than she herself decided not to do anymore shows. Her agency is pushing her to do shows this coming season. I really hope we see her on the runway. She has been looking amazing.
