In regards to her native language, South Africa is generally
Europeanized, which is why her accent is similar to an
English one. I'm fairly sure that her native language is
English. My friends' mom is from South Africa and has the
same accent, and her native language is English.

I can't believe her native language is English! No offense to her, but she doesn't come across as a native English speaker. I always thought she spoke something else.

According to wikipedia South Africa has 11 official languages, so English might not be her first language.

South Africa is a former British Colony that became indepenent in 1910. No surprise they speak English.

^ it's not a surprise south africa speaks english, but it would be very surprising for me as well that it is candice's first language because of the cadence of her sentences and her accent. who knows, though.

Going to take a guess here but because she is a country girl I'd say she grew up speaking English and Afrikaans.
