Chrystelle Saint-Louis Augustin

It's late. I was craving some beauty fix and the "models you'd like to see gone/come back" thread has reminded me of a woman I would categorize alongside Christy Turlington, Waris Dirie, Yasmin Warsame, Eugenia Volodina and Gisele Bundchen (what a shoot that would be!) as the greatest beauties in modelling: Chrystelle Augustin. I have had two fashion fazes -one when I was about 14 in 1999 and now. I had forgotten all the women and fashions from then (heck 6 years in fashion is a lifetime -it is like looking at old photos of the eighties or something and thinking wow I wonder what it was like then -except I lived through that) but spending time on TFS over the last few months has brought that back slowly bit by bit. I can only really place the year because the memory of that fashion obsessed time coordinates with memories of a classroom I only had during Year 9 which was 19998/1999. I heard the name Sunniva Stordal the other day and though I did not remember the face the name moved a memory that hadn't been moved for six years -i.e. 6/19th of my life. It was so eerie and reminded me of a close but far away time. I remember a lot of nude sheeth dresses all crystallised with jewels like they were meant for a snow queen or one of Titania's woodland fairies. Chrystelle really epitomises that history because she was THE face back then -the Gemma Ward. Actually she was far far greater because unlike Gemma she wasn't an insipid bland girl but one in a million -a classical western looking beauty from one angle but a gorgeous light haired, afro haired hybrid from another. Furthermore she was unique by being a face that you could recognise no matter what but at the same time it was chameleon-esque. She had a million looks in her. Here are some pictures from Zothike's site and they are the only ones I can find. If anyone knows of any other place I can look online for her pictures or pictures from that year in fashion that would be cool.

Well they look nothing alike. I wonder what nationality Chrystelle was? Her name implies French but names mean nothing. I don't think she was Aussie?....
