REBECCA CARMODY: Over the years, Perth has provided the world with any number of top-shelf models. Famous names include Jane Priest, Megan Gale and Gemma Ward. Now, another Perth face is being touted as the next big thing. At just 15, Hannah Fell is sending the fashion world into a tizz, and while some think that she’s too young, Dianne Bain found her parents are true believers in Hannah's modelling dreams.

CHRIS FOX: It was her features, her body shape, everything. She just has the look at the moment, as we say.

DIANNE BAIN: In a matter of months, 15-year-old Hannah Fell has been propelled from the life of a suburban teenage girl into the surreal and often superficial world of high fashion.

HANNAH FELL: I felt like doing cartwheels and running around but I just sort of cried. It was like, Oh, my God! It was just so cool - yeah.

DIANNE BAIN: In October last year, Hannah won a competition organised by a modelling agency.

PAUL FELL: She was going to try to go for a job in a coffee shop and didn’t get it. That is actually what sparked it off.

DIANNE BAIN: And a short time later, she went from Perth to “Vogue” - literally. A fashion shoot in a tropical location was published in Australia's fashion bible.

HILLARY FELL: We’re very proud.

PAUL FELL: Very proud.

HILLARY FELL: We are taking it in our stride because she won the competition and she's a great girl.

DIANNE BAIN: Chris Fox spotted the potential in Hannah. She said that the fashion world can’t get enough of the red-headed beauty.

CHRIS FOX: The interest in her in Australia is staggering. On an international level, too, we’ve had a lot of people vying for this girl, and we are just checking out all her options at this stage.

HANNAH FELL: Everyone has been supportive, my friends, my family and my teachers - every one. I think I now know who my true friends are.

DIANNE BAIN: Not since the rise of Nedlands teenager Gemma Ward has a young Perth model attracted so much interest.

CHRIS FOX: Perth is on the map. We are now being included in the pool of work that’s going on around Australia and internationally. People are coming to us and asking who we’ve got and looking at our web site.

HANNAH FELL: It is truly overwhelming. I only started doing it six months ago, and I was nothing back then, and now I get a lot of calls and stuff from Sydney about all these things.

DIANNE BAIN: The modelling world is renowned for the fussy and fickle demands. Its designer divas and prima donnas make it a high-pressured and often oppressive career. Although aware of the stereotype surrounding their daughter's new career, Hillary and Paul Fell are cautiously supportive.

HILLARY FELL: She's not under any pressure. I think I’ve been with her for just about everything - and Paul at one event - and I’ve been very happy when I've been there.

DIANNE BAIN: As for her age, is she too young for this?

CHRIS FOX: No.

DIANNE BAIN: Hannah has big plans.

HANNAH FELL: I would love to do modelling in New York and Paris and Milan and fashion week and shoots and everything over there - I would love to live over there.

CHRIS FOX: I think she should hold onto it - hold onto the chair for an amazing ride. We don't know what tomorrow holds, but her future’s pretty bright.

DIANNE BAIN: The parents are both taking credit for her good looks.

PAUL FELL: She's got the Fell eyes.

HILLARY FELL: I look at photos and think she looks like me, but she's got his family's eyes. She looks like both of us. (Laughter.)

i saw hannah around just recently, and she's very pretty but more in a cute sense than straight up and down beautiful. but she photographs very well.
she's a little shorter than me, so probably 5'9"/175cm or so...

she's sixteen she looks alot younger in some photos some sites she is listed as 5'10 and some 5'9 so I assume she is 5'9.5 maybe
