yes it is very important that the girls are seen to be "classless" and "approachable" and not talk down to people!

But this wasn't always the case at the BBC! If you watch the really old B/W BBC programs from the 60s they talked really "poewsch" (posh) - you know like you would if you had a big hot plum in your mouth!

btw a good way to practice talking posh is by saying "WE ARE NOT AMUSED" slowly with pursed lips!

& if you want to look really posh - try drinking your tea with your little finger sticking out! (...but this only works if the cup and saucer are made of fine porcelain!!)
