After almost two months of fashion, over coming weeks AnOther's fashion team will be sharing their favourite girls of the season. First up is Janice Alida, who debuted on the Maison Martin Margiela catwalk in S/S11. Four cities, 33 shows and an AnOther fashion spread (by Paolo Roversi) later, Alida was one of fashion's most wanted. This season she has opened Chirstopher Kane and Fendi and walked for Marc Jacobs, Victoria Beckham and Gareth Pugh amongst others. Originally from Vancouver, her career started when submitted her portfolio to Lizbell agency. Here Janice speaks to AnOther, both about walking the S/S13 catwalk, and down the aisle.
What beauty or cosmetic product can you not live without?
Describe fashion week in one word?
Song of the season: Holocene by Bon Iver.
If you were a designer who would open your show? Anna Selezneva (if you watched this season's Versace show, you'll understand.) Plus, a backstage photo of her at an Alex Wang show a few years ago is what inspired the hair for my wedding.
Where did you get married?
We got married in Vancouver, Canada.
How did you meet your husband?
We met while at university – Andrew and I worked at the same Starbucks.
Our existence is not worthy without your presence. Join the fun!
