Yes, I think it is. But it requires a lot of juggling, and the willingness to say "No" to a lot of tempting opportunities. You have to make decisions other people in your life won't agree with, and that by its very nature is hard.

from her blog :

Quote:
This is salon-grade, professionally-treated, blown-out, serum-shined, hot-ironed, fresh-from-the-chair hair. You are dreaming if you think you could ever in your life replicate this at home. It feels like spun silk, it’s been three days and you haven’t had to do more than run a comb through it each morning, and every time you pull it — effortlessly, one-handedly! — into a ponytail, it feels like 50% of its mass has been smoothed away. If hair had a bond rating, your locks would be AAA. Yours is the Berkshire Hathaway of hair. It might as well be made of rainbows and shed strands of unicorn tail, because you will never see hair like this again — outside of another visit to your stylist.
the "Berkshire Hathaway of hair" -- I love it! And it's so true, I always think I CAN do it at home.

So true. I'm happy you followed the right path. I cringe whenever I hear young models have quit school

I don't like her nose. Her blog is far more interesting than her pictures although some of them are good.

I keep on reading his blog, and I become more and more captivated! It is really COOL! I like the style of her writing! It's clever and catchy. She did the right choice when she decided to get a good education. Maybe she should become a writer rather than a model?
By the way, are there any models who later made their way in literature?

Was she in the Rad Hourini casting videos or am I mistaking her for another model?

You all are falling down on your jobs. I'm in this month's Glamour Italia and you have yet to produce a single scan! I'm very disappointed and frankly surprised.

I don't see a thread for Glamour Italia - anyone have this one?

from Jenna's blog:

Quote:
I shot a sunglasses editorial shoot today for Italian Glamour magazine. It’ll also run in US Teen Vogue and Italian Vanity Fair (Condé Nast publications often run editorials concurrently in different markets). The photographer was a five-months-pregnant, 38-year-old bundle of energy named Stefania who busily snapped pictures of me and Malin, the 16-year-old Swede who’ll be one of the three other models you’ll see when you pick up your issues of Teen Vogue this December make that February who knows? Aside from bumping me just as Corinne, the wonderful makeup artist, was brushing mascara on my left eyelashes, I thought Malin was pretty nice for a blonde Viking giantess. Good luck on your maths test Monday, Malin!
Stefania and Eduardo, the fashion editor, made a great team, and since the focus of the shoot was the sunglasses, I got to wear my own clothes (not having to change clothes in the back of a panel van parked at the Place Concorde = good day of modeling).
Halfway through the afternoon, Eduardo asked if I wouldn’t like to do a fashion editorial with him and Stefania in Sardinia. I said that would suit me very well, Stefania nodded enthusiastically, and Eduardo called my booker then and there to option me for the job. When a model accepts an option, she gives a client the first right-of-refusal on her services for the timespan of the proposed job: You keep your day, night, or week free, in exchange for a pretty good (but not 100%) chance of working (clients generally use options either when they’re interested in a couple girls but want to be able to change their minds, or when they expect the details of the job itself might change). The great news, aside from Stefania and Eduardo being talented individuals, smart conversationalists, and the job being in Sardinia, and it being for Italian Glamour? It’s a cover shoot. If it happens, it’ll be the end of this month.
Today, I saw Nina-Garcia-Fashion-Editor-For-Elle-Magazine. She was walking into her hotel, and she was wearing these shoes. I never would have thought she was the sportiletto type — to me they look like something Santino might approve of. Regrettably, I didn’t have my camera to freeze the wonderful moment in time.
