Jobs? The condescending sense of humor is a turnoff.

I did. my opinion: there are already too many model blogs on the internet capping on the same old things for me to find this one the slightest bit different or interesting

what's condescending about stating my opinion that the content of a model's blog being too similar to the contents of other models blogs? There was nothing condescending about that.

I'm afraid I don't know what's become of that editorial, but I am of course looking forward to it coming out. The images from the second time I shot with the magazine are the ones that just came out. (You knew that, of course, I'm just clarifying for clarification's sake. I wrote about that second shoot here: http://photojenna.wordpress.com/2007...-and-arrivals/)

ViktorJetSet and Fontenrose,

The above squabble from yesterday should be finished now. I would appreciate it if we could keep this thread focused on Jenna's work. Disagreements are natural when people have conflicting opinions, but there are better places for less positive model comments. I would appreciate it if you could take any additional criticism to the appropriate thread. Thanks in advance for understanding.

I realise I have no authority to even ask this, since I'm fully aware that anything I publish on the Internet is more or less publicly available in perpetuity, but I was wondering if I could make a respectful request that you refrain from reposting out-of-context candids I've taken of myself or others here on TFS without my permission.

I absolutely don't mind if you put work-related pictures of me here. But the goofy, after-hours, self-taken pics, when taken out of context, don't always carry the message I'd like to put forward.

Obviously candids taken of me by other people are the business of those images' authors and none of mine, and I can have no say in whether or not they should turn up here. But when they're pictures I've taken, I would consider it a personal favour if you'd leave them in situ, and just link to the relevant posts. Or repost chunks of text with the pictures, since that maintains the original context, which is my only real concern.

I can't explain it any better than I simply feel weird coming here and seeing a picture of my room-mate and I goofing off, when in the original post it's explained that we're goofing after a long day of work and as a consolation prize for missing out on going to the beach -- in the original post, the goofing is a scene in a kind of narrative, not a story in itself. I know you certainly intend no offense, let alone harm. But within my blog I actually try to be very careful about how I present the images and text I author, and given how easy it is to take a picture out of context and even unintentionally alter its meaning, I'd strongly prefer if you didn't.

Again, this is just a friendly request. Consider it an appeal to your courtesy, nothing more. I of course welcome, pore over, and deeply appreciate your interest, questions, comments, criticisms, of my pictures, job skills, and/or writing (occasional sarcastic comment aside). And anytime you want to quote a picture I've taken and blogged, along with its attendant chunk of text (or even some kind of synthesis of your own, since I know I can be wordy, and TFS hardly exists to serve me), you should feel free to do so. But seeing my personal candid shots here all by their lonesome makes me feel uneasy, is all.

If you understand where I'm coming from, I'd appreciate your help with this.

xx

Jenna

you're actually offended by Jenna's 'job' comment? It was obviously said as a joke.
