LONDON FASHION WEEK is always the place to see the big new catwalk names of the future - if they managed to get noticed in NY, the London designers line up to book them for the following week - by which time they practically have Milan and Paris in the bag, too. Our tip of the week for which face to look out for? Jourdan Dunn - who was scouted just a year ago as she was shopping with a friend in Primark in Hammersmith. A 17-year-old beauty who walked for Ralph Lauren, Marc Jacobs, Diane Von Furstenberg, Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B label and Tommy Hilfiger, among others, she is big news for the coming action this side of the pond. "She is gorgeous and it is going really well," says Sarah Doukas, founder of Storm Models, who famously discovered Kate Moss. "She is with us full time now. She had never left England before we took her to New York but she is loving it." Having already posed for the forthcoming Benetton campaign for photographer David Sims, Jourdan is now waiting for a slew of other jobs this season - and the team at Storm have every confidence in her - and their other new girls. "We have lots of exciting faces in right now," goes on Sarah. "My daughter Noelle, who works as one of the model bookers here, has a knack for scouting too. She found Beharti Prinsloo in Cape Town a couple of years ago and her latest find is Georgia Stead, who Vogue's Kate Phelan is just mad about."
