Linda Evangelista for Reach Out To Asia charity event
Thursday, 2 February, 2006

SUPERMODEL Linda Evangelista, three notable Bollywood stars and a special guest from Thailand have been confirmed as the latest celebrity participants in Reach Out To Asia's Wheels n Heels community charity sporting event scheduled for Saturday.
Bollywood stars Randhir Kapoor, who is also a director and producer, 1999 Miss World Yukta Mookhey, and Mallika Sherawat have accepted invitations to support the event, being held on the Corniche, it was announced yesterday.
A Thai professor of communication arts, who lost her entire family in the tsunami tragedy of 2004 will also appear at the event to talk about her life since the disaster and discuss the importance of charity initiatives for the survivors of the natural calamity.
Dr Parichart Sthapitanonda, associate professor at Chulalongkorn University in Thailand, lost her mother, father and two sisters to the catastrophic tsunami last year. Following her heartbreaking experience, she wrote the article, 'Dealing with Personal Loss from Tsunami 2004' for a book titled Tsunami 2004: Communication Perspectives.
In the article, Dr Sthapitanonda uses communication concepts to shift her personal thoughts in order to deal with her incredible loss.
With the help of the Thai embassy in Doha, Reach Out To Asia has invited Dr Sthapitanonda be a significant part of the community charity event.
Linda Evangelista is known as one of the five original world supermodels, alongside Christy Turlington, Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer and Naomi Campbell.
When she isn't modeling for the likes of Gianni Versace, Hermes, Valentino and Christian Dior, Evangelista spares her time for causes such as the fight against breast cancer and other important charities.
"Her participation in Wheels n Heels will fall in line with her contribution to charitable causes," Reach Out To Asia has said.
The event promises a fun-filled day of exciting entertainment and celebrity participants extending support to the charity initiative.
Ihab Tawfiq, Layla Elwy, Mohamed Lingawi, world-champion cyclist Eddy Merckx, Middle East Rally Champion Nasser Saleh al-Attiyah and Ladies Cup winner Nada Zeidan are just a few more of the big names taking part.
Families are encouraged to bring their own bicycles, rollerblades, skates, skate boards, or even just walking shoes to join the fun and help the charity help the less fortunate.
Wheels n Heels will consist of a 4km course that families can walk, skate or bike through while collecting money per lap completed.
The money collected per lap will go to Reach Out To Asia's charity fund. Sponsorship forms to participate in Wheels n Heels and collect money for the Reach Out To Asia charity event are available at schools, colleges and universities across Doha.
Wheels n Heels is just one Reach Out To Asia initiative aimed at encouraging children to adopt a healthy lifestyle and participate in charity efforts.
'Reach Out To Asia' aims to extend a hand of friendship and help to countries across the Asian continent, which are experiencing serious difficulties in terms of poverty, inadequate healthcare, homelessness, disease and natural disasters.

The interview was good but I have to admit I enjoyed the shoots better. I wasn't even expecting those! They were quite amazing! I was mesmerized! Linda playing the role of 'coach' was playing on the erotic side and then part two with that big frame -- she really knew how to work that frame in those insane heels.

The interview -- something that stuck out for me there was when she shot back at Mrs. McCartney (she mention her name, of course) for attacking her (along with Naomi, Cindy and others) for their position on furs.

I thought the question from Alex of Sao Paolo was good when he added that he had her tattooed on his leg. Does he post here?
