Tiiu should be the number 1.... i don´t like her very much but she´s the
model of the moment.

I disagree... she's not the one being the most talked about.. no big covers.. no big ads..
j´adore isn´t a big ad? she has did moschino, valentino, tse... also
and covers for vogue and numero...
and she´s cuter than Daria!!! [/b][/quote]
I can definately see Tiiu being in the number one spot. I mean, she's not the most exposed model right now, but that doesn't seem to be how the system works now anyway. I mean, if it was based on the best known model, it'd likely be someone like Gisele, which would be totally, totally off. Also, as much as I dislike Hana and her skinny-ness, I can see her being pretty high up on that list. Especially with the Gucci campaign, which is a big thing, especially for such a new model. I think that models.com should be focusing more on emerging models, like Tiiu, Hana and even Lily (what with the UK Vogue cover). Liya is definately a classic beauty and will be around for a while, so I'm not totally convinced that she needs be in the current top slot. I think that as the list is constantly changing, it should to be more focused on the model who currently the most prominent. Also, that position likely plays a role in helping to promote her, which I honestly don't see Liya as needing. Unless you're consulting US Vogue, that is...

as another poster mentioned earlier, the list is arbritary. it's to be taken with a grain of salt. however, i do believe Liya deserves the top spot - for the sake of longevity and consistency in her career.

If you judge models solely on their beauty then I think Liya is definitely not No.1 and should not be.(not even in the top 10) But the Models.com ranking also includes many other factors such as show appearances, number of eds, and ad campaigns done and Liya's rank is hard to argue based all these factors.
Maybe you can still say she is not No.1 but she can't get lower than No.5!

if the designers and all the other fashion pple can put her to do all those shows and eds and ads which then make her no 1, its self explanatory why she s no 1!

The list has recently been updated, like in the last week, but the top models don't seem to move much, I think its the lower ones. In my opinion, Natalia is No 1, though she only does Calvin Klein, but that is because she has exclusivity with them. She has so many strong editorials and I think is more off the moment than Liya, who should really be on the Supermodels list now, as much as Karolina anyway.
