I pronounced Liya's name: Lee-yah Kah-bee-dee, although I'm sure that's not right.

I pronounce Gemma's with a "g" like in "giraffe".

yep, soft G (as in the word giraffe) i think is how gemma's name is supposed to be pronounced...which makes sense. especially since thats the way gem is pronounced...i'm just retarded

and i think you actually nailed liya's name.

I don't know if anyone has posted this already, but her's a link to a site wih interviews with models, and there's one with Liya:http://www.fashionfile.com/displayMoments.html. She's a ways down in the Fall/Winter 2002 part.

I think that she's very well spoken. Sometimes I don't like a model's voice because it doesn't seem to suit there look or I just don't like the sound of it, but suits her well and is very nice sounding. I like that slight accent that she has.

I saw a clip of Celine's S/S 04 show on style.com some time ago, and Liya was being photographed with a women that looked sorta like her, just older. Does anyone know if this is her mother?

It's always interesting to see model's parents, especially when there is a resemblance. I found the first two pics recently and capped the last three from the video.
