Expect to see alot of candids of Naomi this coming week. She has signed up for a role in a new Spike Lee project and she's shooting for British Vogue this weekend .....She'll most certainly get a cover before the end of the year I think!!

Quote:
IN all the excitement about Naomi Campbell's Fashion for Relief catwalk show on Thursday, you'd be forgiven for missing the biggest detail of all – that it's open to the public. The glittering line-up of fashion figures involved in the initiative – set up by Naomi to raise money for the victims of the floods throughout the UK earlier this summer as part of the same charity which raised funds to support Hurricane Katrina victims two years ago – allows for the assumption that this was an A-List affair like most others at London Fashion Week – open only to the fashion elite – but in fact it's YOU she wants to see there. Tickets cost between £100 and £750 – depending on how close to the stars, including Elle Macpherson, Lizzy Jagger, Yasmin Le Bon and Naomi herself, you want to be – and you can buy yours HERE, NOW. "I so want people to know that this is their chance to attend a show like no other," Naomi said, speaking exclusively to VOGUE.COM this morning from her apartment in New York. "You'll get to see people that would never usually be on the catwalk and they'll be really enjoying themselves and having fun. We really want to raise as much as we possibly can to reach out and support all the people affected by the floods. Please support the cause and buy a ticket now. I'm hoping to raise at least £1 million but I'm not limiting it to a strict figure – there is £3 billion of debt – that's the figure we need to keep in mind."

So, apart from organising the most press-worthy event of the schedule, what else will Naomi be up to during London Fashion Week? While we had her on the line, we obviously had to ask her one or two other questions about fashion's latest news:

Where will you be during London Fashion Week?
"I'll be supporting Diane Von Furstenberg at her store launch on Sunday, plus I'll be at the Moet & Chandon event later that night with Stuart Rose as he's been an amazing support to Fashion For Relief. I'll be at Isabella Blow's memorial service on Tuesday, too – I met her when I was 14-and-a-half and she was an incredible person – she is greatly missed.

I'll also be at the V&A event that Alexandra Shulman is hosting on Tuesday – I'm going with Manolo Blahnik and I'll be wearing Alaia." (You've already decided? Any chance of changing your mind at the last minute and wearing something else?) "No, Alaia is my man. That's about it for London Fashion Week – I'll land in London tomorrow morning – go straight home to shower, then I'm shooting with British Vogue all day Saturday and Sunday so it's a pretty full week. I want to be available to the Fashion For Relief team at all times – and I'm not really the party girl these days, anyway. Oh, and I might walk in a show for a friend but it could well be a time issue because I really do have to be at the Moet event." (We're guessing Julien Macdonald has his fingers crossed, in that case…)

How about the rumours in the press today about you bringing your 'feud' with Victoria Beckham to an end to ask her to help with Fashion For Relief. Is that true?
"There never was a feud – it was all bull****. The truth is that a while ago she wanted me to be on her show – as Valentino was – and I couldn't commit. I was living in New York at the time and my schedule just couldn't allow for it. Then all these rumours started but I never took it personally and never believed anything of the things she was quoted as saying about me – I know she's a busy woman herself and it's impossible to please everyone all the time. Since that time I've had many dinners with her and we worked together for D&G and then when I was working with Damon Dash and JayZ on Roca Wear I suggested we ask her to work with us.
I'd love her to work on Fashion For Relief but I know she lives in LA now and she has three children – it would be a massive trek for her. We're still waiting to hear if she can do it."

And Kate Moss? Apparently you asked her to star in the show, too?
"Kate doesn't do catwalk anymore – she hasn't for years. But she was the first designer to offer clothes for the show, which is amazing of her."

How has New York Fashion Week been for you?
"I haven't had much to do with it this time – I'm here for a very exciting new film project." – READ ALL ABOUT HER PLANS TO WORK WITH SPIKE LEE HERE

What do you think about the fuss being made about Marc Jacobs' show being two hours late? He was accused in the press of postponing it because he was drinking with friends and his business partner Robert Duffy and he's apparently threatening to pull out of New York Fashion Week because of it (read the full story here).
"Marc is a really close friend of mine – we speak almost every other day and I've been with him so much since he's been sober and throughout his recovery. It's ridiculous – you can't just accuse someone of drinking because their show is late. Is there any proof? No – it's just a story. There are all kinds of technical reasons why his show may have been delayed. I really hope this doesn't mean he'll leave New York. It would be a great loss to Fashion Week here and I'd be really sad to see it happen."

Thanks for the post, J'ador! She sounds so articulate and centered. And generous too, for giving back as she has.
