BRITISH model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has been a favourite of lingerie label Victoria's Secret for several seasons now but has finally earned her "wings", becoming an official Victoria's Secret Angel this week.

"I'm very happy and proud to have been flying the flag for Britain at Victoria's Secret for nearly four years now," Huntington-Whiteley told VOGUE.COM.

The model is the only current British Angel and joins Lindsay Ellingson, former Next model Emanuela DiPaula, Candice Swanepoel and Chanel Iman in this year's Angel intake. VOGUE.COM can also reveal that the new Angel is newly single, having recently split with Tyrone Wood.

Huntington-Whiteley follows in the footsteps of former Victoria's Secret Angels - including Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum and Gisele Bundchen - whose careers went stratospheric following the announcement.
