Go Shanina! Three shows already and it's still early days at fashion week. I'm glad that she's proving herself as a runway girl. I think that she has a brighter future in NY (and internationally) than expected.

Great to see her on runways so early, however her face to me doesn't strike as something amazingly beautiful. Great, nonetheless.

For the first night of Fashion Week, New York Model Management threw an opening bash at the Grace Hotel, poolside. Luckily, no one fell in. Tyson Beckford swooned over his new model-of-the-moment, Shanina Shaik, saying, “I saw her and I knew she was way too big for the Australia market. I was like, ‘Girlfriend come and see the world. If Miranda Kerr and those girls can do it …’”

Shanina has already been cast to walk in seven shows, including Mara Hoffman and Yeohlee, and is under consideration for Victoria’s Secret modeling. “It would be the ultimate if I worked for Victoria’s Secret,” she said. “I’ve always had a goal to get there. Hopefully this is my time!”

The lucky girl celebrated her 18th birthday on Wednesday, heading to dinner with Tyson at Indochine, and the off to the Victoria’s Secret “What is Sexy” party. Could our 18th have been as cool?








So it looks it 7 shows she will be walking in. Even better then i imagined

I think that's awesome and I'm glad that she's being received well in NY.

I know right.. I was thinking they look a bit cozy together. Maybe its not just her talent that he's interested in
