I am fairly certain the designers have a HUGE say in if they wear underwear or not. I am also sure a greater portion of the time they do wear nude undies. I'm no model, but I do remember at my dance concerts they would tell us not to wear any undies because you can see a line in the leotards, and I am sure the designers don't want big pany lines in their shows!
