Is this bag Fake / Authentic? (December 2003 - July 2009)

I never even noticed that Greendrv! VERY good eye! So I guess it's settled then, it's definitely a fake =P Unless......... It is an earlier bag?? ByMiMi it may not be a rouge now that I think of it, because rouge is fall 2005 too. But what about 2004 mahogany? Or 2003 red? The bad thing is the colour is very hard to tell due to the lighting in the photos. If it was an earlier bag, would the rivets matter Greendrv? I'd be really interested and curious if it is indeed a superfake, I have never seen one THAT close yet.

Okay, now I have to ask! I just want to reassure myself, and enjoy the bag! hehe.

My boyfriend surprised me with a Chloe Silverado in chocolate for the holiday's! It is the medium size. The leather is so soft, the lighter tone of the chocolate scratches very easily (as I have read that it does!) - I love that! And the darker tone is somewhat textured, and "thicker" but still so soft.

There are a lot of photo's, so bare with me (I didn't want to make the post so image heavy, so most photo's are in link form) - I just wanted to cover every inch of the bag! The tarnished (brass) hardware on both zipper pulls are engraved with Chloe, I was just unable to capture that detail (my camera was having trouble focusing!) On the underside of the zippers is riri (the make) and then M6 underneath the larger one, and M4 underneath the inside zipper (I am assuming the size?). I was able to capture the riri on the main zipper. Chloe is also marked in small font on the leather flap where it snaps. The inside has the leather "Chloe" and directly under it "Made In Italy". Located inside that pocket is the number tab: SA 51-03-05-54, I tried to capture that as well in a photo - but it was hard to focus.

Also included was the price/tag from Ron Herman, and the care cards (inside the Chloe envelope).

Thank you everyone for your input!! Like I said, I just want to be assured it is most definitely authentic so I can ENJOY THE BAG!

Ok, my friend's got a superfake that she paid quite a lot for. The details are all correct except for the lack of distress on the leather. Her fake does have that rivet and she got it this year.

The rivets are only present in 2005 bags (not sure about the upcoming 2006). So 2004 and earlier all have solid screws (no rivets). I agree that it is difficult to tell the color, but it really does look like it's trying to be an 05 bordeaux, and not an 04 mahogany. I don't think an 03 red could get that dark without showing more wear. I'm still betting it's a super fake, especially with how low the bidding is right now: $38.88 NR.

kou, thanks for letting us know that your friend's super fake has the rivet in the screw. I guess it won't be a definitive hardware feature for authentication, but certainly something to check (in our ever growing list).

Anytime, Greendry . I'm getting really disturbed at how good these superfakes are getting. It's sad that these dishonest people are making a killing off the fakes

polobabe, I have an exact same one but I got it from Amazon.com....they were on sale for $79 something and what some sellers do is they list it on eBay and buy it from Amazon and they cross their fingers that the buyer is paying more than what they got it for. The Prada from Amazon.com is authentic. I wouldn't dare imagine Amazon.com selling a fake and if it was, at least I know I definitely can get my money back.

Is the metal hardware connecting the strap to the bag have an engraving of PRADA anywhere? There should be the engraving on both hardwares (two sides) and the authenticity card has a plastic card that states it's authenticity in Italian I think. There should also be another card that's cardboard-ish that identifies the details of the purse. I'm not a Prada expert though and am basing it on the purse I got from Amazon.com so someone else who has better details may be of better help.

do they really have upside down ones? not always...
because i have a monogram cherie pouchette and i know its real because my cousin bought it from the ny boutique, have the recipt and i had all 3 LV stores authenticated ( i was paranoid) and mine doesn't... however my speedy 25 does have upside down lvs
