I have no idea - I can ask her - what is the correct lining of that bag supposted to be? I've heard many different kinds - a few people told me you can have a black or red lining, but I'm not 100% on that

Whats the lining like of the Chanel? It looks real but the inside can be a giveaway if its fake.
I don't know if all her bags are authentic. She has a Balenciaga metallic magenta classique (#6802141987) on sale and that one looks fake. My friend has a real one that she got from the boutique and it is a lot more distressed, and has more veining. The Balenciaga she has on ebay looks like something one can get from lussomoda ... For me, even if it is only one item that may be fake or questionable, I still won't buy from the person at all; and if it's a powerseller that is selling a fake, then even more the reason not to. JMHO.

Just took a close look at this one. No it's fake. Shoulder strap comes wrapped in plastic packaging is one of the easier ways to tell that it's fake. The real thing doesn't come like that. Also, once again the leather looks more cracked than distressed and it appears a bit "thick". The real thing looks soft, distressed and has natural "veining". Also, there isn't supposed to be this much sheen on the leather. This is sad ... a powerseller (a squaretrade member too) selling fakes.

If I were you, I'll get it from Balenciaga or Barney's. Black is one of those colors that will always be around (Balenciaga retire their colors every year but they do keep the basic colors like black and white). The prices of Balenciaga on eBay typically gets jacked up by a couple hundred more than retail and 90% of the time it's a superfake that you can get for $300.

Thanks for everyone's input! The bag isn't even for me (my mom already owns a Neiman Marcus-bought black one). My friend "discovered" ebay the other day and has been drooling over those $300 Balenciaga's (until then unaware ebay is loaded with fakes)!

Regarding the plastic, aren't the extra tassles inside, not the strap? Regardless, I don't plan on recommending that seller to my friend. Thank again!!!

I think the extra tassle is the one that should be inside the plastic. But seriously, the easiest way to tell is to look at a closeup of the leather and see how the bag "folds". The superfakes are sometimes made from leftover scraps and lower-grade leather (before processed) used by the factory that made Balenciaga. The quality is a lot lower and although they make look very alike on the outside, the softness, quality, and "sheen" of the leather often give it away. The craftsmanship also varies. Essentially, Balenciaga inspects everything before taking the shipment and selling them. These superfakes are leftovers with lower grade leather scraps and with no supervision or QA involved. For ppl who work at Balenciaga, when put the two together, the difference is striking. Unfortunately, superfakes are the best fakes out there so unless you have an authentic one on hand, it's sometimes difficult to tell based on photos.

I havent bought anything from them so you could may well be right.

xwhispertomex, on the lining of the Chanel, for the black bag the lining should be hot pink I think. Definitely not red..

Hot pink is a new one to hear - so far all I've heard were red and black linings - I need to investigate into the hot pink one

She also told me she has the dustbag - I could ask her to take a pic to see what it looks like - usually thats a giveaway, but IDK what a real one looks like - anyone have a link to a picture of a real Chanel dustbag?
