Is this bag Fake / Authentic? (December 2003 - July 2009)

here is what i just won...i noticed **upside down LVS***...is that common? or did i just buy a fake....

that can very well happen. i dont think its fake, just quite old :P

if the fabric continues from one side to the other without being interrupted by stitching then it is on purpose

actually upside down LVs usually means its real...a friend of mine was at the louis vuitton in NYC and someone tried to come into the store to return a fake bag...the manager noticed it was fake because it didnt have any upside down "LVs"...and explained that most vuitton bags are made with large continuous pieces of leather (rather than small sewn together pieces) therefore some of the LVs are upside down

i am absolutely no expert in authenticating vuitton bags however i know that real vuitton's leather does oxidize like that and that lock is featured on many of their bags....(you may have already known this as any fashion pariah probably does, but i hope it helps)

Actually, Tiffany, as other have said, all authentic LV Speedy bags have the LV's upside down on side of the bag as only one piece of coated canvas is used. You won an authentic one, from what I can tell!

I just went and checked my mom's and it has upside down LV's as well.. and to think I never noticed it! Mine (papilon) has some has well! I'm soo adding this to my article!

You won an authentic bag. I can tell if a bag is a fake or not by the quality or for some reason i just know for LV (probably b/c i've seen a lot of it) :P

Since the Keepalls look rather similar...do the upside down LVs apply to them as well?

Just because the pattern comes upside down, doesnt mean that the bag is authentic, I mean, my friend has a Murakami Speedy, and it has the upside down pattern, and its as fake as Victoria Beckham

I can usually tell from the leather quality as well but maybe it's just because it's old that the leather doesn't look as good? Also the handles are quite a darker brown than most LV's nowadays non? Because I can almost always tell when women have a darker shade of leather on the handles than normal.

i just thik this speedy is old and terefore the color of the leather. I'd still say it is real

yeah.... and I actually see people with LV Speedy in monogram all the time.
