i have to design and make a bag entirely from recycled materials.
i have a few ideas already but was wondering if you guys had any ideas?

those are some cute suggestions . .
i was actually thinking of using broken up cds to make something similar to this


or i might cheat and make a pvc tote w/embroidered graffiti

If I were you I would use a take out box and maybe use broken up cd pieces to decorate...rather then leaving them to hang...

sounds great . . but as i'm studying textiles the emphasis is more on creating something completely unrecognisable from 'rubbish' . . the takeout bag idea is really cute but it's not really much different from the original box

as for juicebox bags . . everyone is making one and it really isn't too original

i have actually made some samples using broken up cds and it looked gorgeous and they aren't too sharp . . i can always file them

Why not using natural fibers?
Palm trees seem to have some woven-fabric thing on their tops ..you could saw them!

Personally it seems around where I live that everyone "makes" purses..I'm kinda sick of it lately. But the cd purse seems to me that it would be lovely. hehe I want one.

my friend has a bannana ketchup bag. funky stuff. i was thinking you could use resin and anything to make a lucite-like purse with stuff in it.
