for work, the cerf would serve its role better.
I am in 'kind of' working environment as a medical student
and went there with my twiggy (large, black) one day but didnt feel
right as b bags are sooo trendy. So I often go there with my
lv epi bag or chanel clutches. if you need to be more serious and
professional, go with the cerf!

^my feelings exactly.

i think cerf only looks good in black.
i think darkbrown leather/gold hardware might seem old.... i mean cerf isnt exactly a young bag, but still...

Cerf! The Balenciaga is more a travel bag imo, the leather of the cerf is much better to carry books etc...and it's more 'office classy'

cerf fits the bill. the balenciaga is not sturdy and too risque to be a classic office bag. its trendy. chanel cerf may look boring but it is definitely a very safe style.. just dont get the pink!!

I think the Mulberry Bayswater would make a great office bag - its very classic with gorgeous leather - and it fits files and books.

Chanel Cerf Tote VS Gucci Large Boston Bag
I need help as I am looking for a new bag for work prefer :
- Not too heavy
- Black is the most prefer choice of colour
- Shoulder bag and hand-held
- Simplicity but not too bland
- Durable & Sturdy for carry bottle of water, sunglasses, keys, makeup case, blackbery, mb phone, magazine etc.

I am thinking of Gucci Lagre Boston bag vs Chanel Cerf tote both in black but if you have other alternatve or suggestion would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

I personally think that the Chanel Cerf tote is great for an office setting. Plus the quality is excellent.

The cerf tote seems better to me too for an office setting . . . plus it's a great bag and I feel like it is less bulky than the boston bag would be

Cerf tote. It can go from a office setting to anywhere else.

I think the Gucci, while it is a nice bag, wouldn't be that versatile.

if you are looking for an office bag, cerf. definitely.
the boston bag is nice but it doesnt seem very formal.
i also i think it might be a bit bulky to be carried as a shoulder bag. (the boston)

Out of the two, I prefer the look of the Gucci bag...but same as everyone else - the cerf looks more professional for an office.
