Yeah Uniq I went same the thing, they only have the sliver giant hardware, I made a preorder than cancelled it.

i saw alot more pre-fall colors this weekend at barneys in l.a....
they had tomato, olive, tabac, paprika, steel and ocean...
the steel looks so much better with the giant silver hardware, but i can't justify paying $400-500 more for a bag because of that...

i wasnt that into the Balenciaga city motorcycle bags at the beginning..
but today i saw the picture of the new edition of purple and pale rose(something like that)...
i became crazy about them..haha..

when is the violet coming out?
I am #1 on the list for the violet with silver GH day..I cannot wait. Im also waiting for the yellow GGH day.
also, waiting on my special order for the LE magenta with GGH...ahhh!!

i just got back from paris and was at balenciaga there. the update is that the new colours including the purple and yellow wont be out till september/october!

I still haven't made the plunge for a Giant yet....Do you think a violet giant (silver) would be too trendy? I am worried that these giants will be discontinued and I will be stuck with a expensive mistake.
I love the violet but I only want to get one bag, A classic city or a giant city? Something tells me that the RH would be better in the long run. What do you BBag experts think?

waterdaisy, if you could only get one bag, i would get the regular hardware. like you said, more classic than the GH.

water daisy..I dont forsee bal discontinuing the giant hardware anytime soon. In fact at my local retailer, there are hardley any giant hardware bags left. I prefer the giant hardware to the regular. I think balenciaga bags look matronly and boring without the giant hardware (((dont flame me))).

i think the violet with RH is the way to go. i have uhhh, lets say more than several, and they all are RH and i love them ! get what YOU like. the thimbles just dont do it for me.
