ooo the pink looks gorgeous ciao thanks for posting. i'd really like to see it in person. i had ordered it but cancelled right before they sent it out. i need to give up some bags i don't use before getting more! i seem to be sticking to the city no matter what and want to vernture into maybe...a day...not too sure yet though. wonder how the leather is for the ss08s

Has anyone seen a Day in Violet around recently? I was at NM Garden State Plaza and the SA told me they have no more Violet in any styles in the country. I did pass up a City with GSH so if it is yours, enjoy it
 Were any messenger styles produced in the violet or just the more neutral colours? I have my heart set on a purple bag; I can't believe I had not seen this colour until this past week. |

okay ladies...i know i've been saying i'm going to post pics forever. well i finally managed to pull out some bags out of the closet today and my back literally hurts from all the pulling and shoving!
not pictured: antrhacite GGH part time black RH work apple green RH first aquamarine GGH city rose pink RH box i think i'm almost done with my collection. i really want to see the new yellow and pink in person AND really consider whether i want to do that or just try to find some i 03-05 bags. the ones i'll be giving up are the violet step RH, white brief RH and forest green first RH . the step is nice but i don't LOVE it and the shape is really not me. as for the forest green...well i guess i got it when i was going through a green bag phase and i haven't used it all nor do i LOVE it anymore.            |

Hi
Wondering if anyone can help me as I've become even more confused after meticulously reading this thread trying to bone up on my balenciaga knowledge... I am looking to purchase either (i think) a City or Giant City bag. I'm getting confused by the dimensions of these two though.. are there differing sizes? I'm looking for this exact size in either the oversized hardware (this is called Giant City am i right?) or the normal hardware (City?) ***see below***. Also I am ordering this over the phone from the Balenciaga store in new york so I am wondering will I be able to just order this or will I be placed on a wait list. Also I am looking for this bag in either a medium grey, grass green, darkish blue, or black.. does anyone know if any of those will be available? Hi booradley.... I have purchased over the phone from BalNY in the past..
I am not an expert however can offer some help until another Bal Lover checks in... The City is a medium size bag (appx. 15in x 4in x 10in)... plenty of space for a large wallet, PDA/iPhone, Sunglass case, etc.... you should NEVER overstuff a Balenciaga  ...less in more.The Giant City is the City with Giant Hardware.... A few acronyms... RH: Regular Hardware GSH: Giant Silver Hardware GGH: Giant Gold Hardware As for wait lists... they are for the new SS08 colors... you can call Bal NY and ask a SA for the current stock availability on hand and even request a photo of a bag you may be interested in Lastly, here is a 'how to' link for Balenciaga... when I bought my second Balenciaga in store at Saks...
