It looks more like a deep brick red when there's no light hitting it. To be ultra clear, I think a really ripe strawberry would be the closest analogy.

That beige/caramel bag looks interesting...not exactly my style but I can imagine it looking great on someone more suited to it

i didn't know either, but you can see pics of what probably is the mini twiggy on styledrops.com. they go by the name "roll zip". i'm not really sure about authenticity. i bought a hogan bag through them a few months ago, and it looked legit. i had the same style from saks and compared the two bags.

[quote=nycgirl]I can never figure out how someone selling a bag on ebay for mucho $$$$ can avoid questions and then send you an email asking you not to ask about authenticity. Since when is asking where someone purchased a $1000 bag and if they have the receipt to go along with it warrant a rude authenticity email? Some of these fellow ebay sellers need to get over themselves!!! I mean......they charge over a thousand dollars for a used bag and then get upset if you ask questions? I am telling you..... I will NOT buy a bag from anyone without positive and previous balenciaga, louis, etc feedback.......even if it looks great and costs me a little more because of it. Sometimes when things look too good to be true....it is because they are.

I sell my pre-owned handbags on ebay and have no problem answering ANY questions whatsoever about my bags. GRRRRRRRRR............

I couldn't agree with you more. It has always irked me to read that some sellers are unwilling to answer questions regarding authenticity, as if their simply, proclaiming a bag is real should be enough to fork over $1000+. Their self-righteous indignation about it is such a turn off and I have always taken it as a red flag for a faker.

Odd, I have looked at styledrops. com before and was not sure about the authenticity....plus the prices. Glad to hear that your bag was authentic.

I have a friend that has the small twiggy. Personally, I thought it looked weird because it was so small and tubular. Did not have the same compressed look of the twiggy or box....much more tube like. Plus, it holds nothing. Maybe, that is why you don't see too many places carrying them. Come to think of it.....I have never even seen them at the balenciaga nyc store. I wonder why?

Are you sure?!? I think it's been identified as selling fakes on this forum several times before, or am I misremembering? Just looking at the Balenciaga bags on their site now - their prices are super-high, they have some wacky bag names, the colors are weird - there's a pink they identify as fall/winter on one page and spring/summer on another; they have a turquoise identified as fall/winter 2005-06; they have a "dark blue" with what looks like silver hardware. AND they sell directly online - I don't think Balenciaga allows that. I wouldn't risk it, personally.
