I am now beginning to regret not going into the BV boutique on Rue du Fauborg St Honore, when I was in Paris!!! Was too focused on other things then...

What would be a good FIRST BV to own?

You should try to get your hands on one of their woven leather totes/hobos, it's a very distinctive BV style.

The leather is superb! You definitely won't regret getting one!

Liz Claiborne is planning on releasing very nice woven leather hobos and satchels.. in Spring '06... I swear... when I saw the sample, I was like "is that Bottega!?!?!"

Personally, I like the white gusset hobo. But a little steep at 820 bucks.

iSpot,

I that bag, but it's so expensive! I really like this hobo that will be coming out in the fall, but would really like to see it in person first.

All this talk has re-awakened my lemming for another woven leather bag.

Here are some really gorgeous styles:

I am really in love with both of them-so classy and pretty. With BV, you know that quality will not be a problem!

Yup.
With a BV, it's not too over-exposed, yet the quality is so outstanding that people will know that it is a a piece of fine worksmanship.

I've had people coming up to ask me where I got my bag from and it's such a thrill, cos I got it on sale from NM!!

the small is certainly a more practical size, but the original large cabat had something the small doesn't have. I think the largeness made it special, extra lux. I love the cabat.
