i'm also falling in love with the clandestine. the leather looks so divine- like a snuggly marshmallow pillow. you are a bad influence.

Here's a blurb I found on celine.com:

ACCESSORIES – Delicate Diversions
Inspired by Doctor’s bag, the “Dorine” bags, are in smooth leather, both chic and nonchalant. The “Seradelle” line is declined in luxurious crocodile or more casually in nappa leather. This line features micro bags, for the hand or with a shoulder strap, a chic functional belted bag.
A hint of Grandmas bags, the “Clandestine” line, in a sophisticated powdery and ivory palette, is reinterpreted in an envelope shape, to wear under the arm, and as a shopping bag, with soufflet pockets.
The mythical moccasin “Byblos” is reborn and feminized with a high heel. The pump with fine braiding changes registers, appearing with socks. Flat or high heeled evening espadrilles, joyously mix grosgrain and duchess satin with leather.
Belts take on the look of necklaces by combining chains and charm emblems. Necklaces, borrow from belts transforming a craftsman challenge with crocodile pearls...

I'm thinking large clandy as well, except small seems to be a more tote-friendly size.. but i really miss the front souffle pouch

That first bag you guys like is just screaming "Grandma" at me I mean, I get the grandma/vintage trend and everything, but that one is just so realistic ...

ta-ta - are you talking about the dorine or clandy?

klow - was it the clandy or luggage that made your list?

so confused here..

on style.com the collection on the whole didn't exactly generate rave reviews, again bc of celine's lack of raison d'etre.. it did say though, that although it wasn't rocking the runway, they can be very successful on the clothes rack bc of wearability (as shown by our TFS review on s/s'06 celine was much more approving). They didn't even notice the bags..

although its not a spotlight stealing bag like the fendi bbag, i think its very subtle, like a sweet surprise. everyones looking to fendi and chloe now bc of their recent it bags.. celine always used to be conservative.. but these bags are beginning to move towards 'freshly refined' chic with sprinkles of charm..

(basically.. again.., i'm in .. )

PS. thanks to the mods for the title change!

that one is the clandestine (the boxy croc totes are the 'luggage')..

the photos on NAP is on the front page, first link 'runway reporter'. in that section, theres 2 pics in "'50s" (the long and the shoulder) and in the section "Bags" theres a clearer pic of the long again (which is the one without the front pouch)..

i just realized i said the 3 photos are 3 sizes before, but it seems they didn't put a photo of the large (all 3 pockets) afterall..

Me too something about this bag, the design , the color make me just keep looking at it. I feel I love it more than the Fendi bbag.
Am I being crazy here?

Love the combination of the softness of the lambskin and the kisslock and the frame just sooo adorable.

The Clandestine ...

Perhaps wearability can be Celine's raison d'etre I don't remember the collection ringing my bell at the time, but there are some cute things posted here with the bags.
