I agree that one of the bags jessica is carrying looks less tall than the largest one and the pocket appears to be flush with the bag. I would take what the celine SA said with a large grain of salt -- they often don't know what they're talking about. when I spoke with a fendi SA about the spy before it came out, he told me that the leather spys carried by the department stores would be made of smooth leather while the ones carried by the boutiques would be distressed -- ?? also, even if the boutiques decide not to purchase a particular bag (it happens), it is possible the department stores will.

yeah i hope i'm on to something.. i'm waiting for many places to call back but a selfridges SA said she has it -now- (and i asked is it blush/pink/powder color 5 times and she said yes..we'll see..)

she gave me rough measurements of 41x25cm which works out to 16x9.8".. sounds like the large. then i called back and a male SA picks up and he tells me he has no clue which bag i'm talking about.. so.. waiting for a return call from the previous SA.

(every celine i've called so far except for bev hills, the SAs all have a cute french accent!)

later tonight i'm going to try calling the celines in asia so will keep you girls updated!

i just noticed the long isn't included in your list positano!
the 'long' size is the blush lambskin stam carries in the angelic outfit (2 pouffy side pockets, 1 barely seen flat front pocket).. that one was shown on NAP incl the just 'shoulder' with one front pocket only

the long was going to be my 2nd choice if there really is no large lambskin or if theres no special orders.. not sure about white yet

i hope the 'long' wasn't dropped..

the funny thing is when he said 'all side pocket ones have flat front ones'.. bc the 3 sizes/styles he listed, the front pockets are souffle pouches so its easy to notice, right? the only one that doesn't have an obvious front souffle pocket is the 'long' so that could either mean theres hope that it was produced, or he just thought the pouffy front pockets in those particular 3 styles could've appeared flat to us, or NY isn't getting the long..

those are the situations i can imagine.. i'm thinking way too much about this.. i'm going to try to 'zen' more in case i'm getting worked up over nothing since it appears NAP might carry it... 'ommmm'...

hey ladies, celine beverly hills just called me back.

she says in the runway book theres definately a large powder lambskin and definately the small powder lambskin as well. I told her about what NY said, about the cost-effectiveness thing and she says she hasn't heard anything about it being dropped yet even though shes been digging around for me.

Also she said shes getting 2 smalls and 3 larges in powder and since its runway, they won't be coming in until march.

she'll give me update calls if she hears anything about it! so far sounds promising, no?

i've got my fingers crossed! i wouldn't be surprised if my screams of agony shifted some tectonic plates and caused an earthquake somewhere

i was being so neurotic and kept asking the SA if shes SURE its powder/mauve/pink/blush and if shes SURE its lambskin and is she SURE it has 3 pockets, bla bla.. and each time she repeated 'yes yvonne, don't worry!' (even funnier bc we have the same name)

so be sure to put your name down with her just in case NY really ends up not receiving the large powder lambskin! the SA is Ivonne at rodeo drive, beverly hills, tel: (310) 273 1243 and she'll be expecting 3 larges. maybe they'll re-order more if ppl call and express their interest!

Pinky, I just called the Celine in Bev Hills and the SA I spoke to didn't know anything! She hadn't even heard of the Clandestine handbag. She was so rude, that all she said was that they would be getting in a shipment in a few days and to call back. Should I call back and ask for Yvonne?

ivonne is there now, i just called her back bc i realized she quoted me 1550 for the 'large', which is supposed to be 1800..i smell trouble! so shes going to email me photos of exactly what they're getting to clarify. (she also said "i'm going to fax photos to sofia as well, don't know how close you guys are" lol!)

i do have the fax. her dimensions for the "large" clandestine is the medium 12 x 8 x 4.5...can't see the style from the drawing b/c her fax is so blurry....but like you said it is $1550. i guess it is "large" compared to the small one...

agh!!!!!

that's pretty small -- even a little shorter than the paddington. so I would guess it is not the large, which looks more like 18" across.

positano, that's strange. The dimensions above are what the Celine NY SA quoted me for the smaller lambskin version. She said that the smaller version had two sizes:
11.5 x 6.5 x 2 (in.) $1050
12 x 8 x 4.5 (in.) $1550

She said that the two sizes for the large calfskin version are:
30 x 20 x 11 (cm) $1550
36 x 26 x 13 (cm) $1800
Not sure what that is in inches off of the top of my head (dumb Americans with their British system).

thanks- i think what she meant by "large" is the larger of the two lambskins, which is really the medium. so we're kinda back to square one...
