ahh.. hence the zippers and pockets..
very perceptive lilygirl! it'd be great if there was something fun with the cylindrical piece its still very cute even if it doesn't really have a purpose other than adornment though, but it would be a plus!

I looked the measurements and it's so much smaller than it looks in the pics. I thought I could resist becuase it would be too large, but it seems like a really good size actually...

I'm hoping they're it's actually huge or they dont make it in the lambskin, , I dont want to want another bag

still waiting for the email from NAP..
however, i just got my NAP notes and the long in blush is there except they called it the 'Solidago lady frame bag'. i typed in the product code in their sub-site and it shows the item as 'coming soon'..

the description of the product is "cream canvas and tan leather" although the photo is most definately stam with the blush

where they got the name 'solidago' i have no idea.. i can't imagine that its in a different line than clandestine.. and i wonder why boutiques haven't mentioned it but NAP seems they will carry it.

lilygirl- smart idea about the secret compartments!!

oh good work, pinky!! hopefully the irresponsible naming is at fault for all of this, and we can all get the long at least. it wouldn't upset me too much as long as i can get it in that hypnotic powder and there are some side pockets-- the bag looks flat w/o them....

(i wish the large lambskin had a name mixup as well)

the photo of the cream white calf in the NAP notes was more on the extremely light nude/beige with a hint of grey side rather than stark white.. kind of like.. a vanilla whipped cream color.. ok i'm not being much help -- basically it didn't look stark white like in the photos we've seen so far..

To Pinky

Hi Pinky,

I have fallen in love with the long shoulder bag Clandestine in cream shrunk calfskin. You are so right that the names for the various designs are so confusing.

I called the Celine boutique in Singapore and the SA is not sure about the design that has been ordered for Feb06, and she didn't know about the Clandestine bags in general (I don't entirely blame her, as the purchasing manager is not around).

She asked me if the one I want has 2 zipper pockets. I told her I cannot be sure. I said I can only tell from the picture that it does not have a pouch. Do you know if there are zipper pockets for the long shoulder Clandestine?

^ If you are referrring to the east-west tote that Jessica Stam is carrying in a pictures a few pages back then yes, there are zipper pockets.

If you still need the NAP links, just click on "Runway Reporter" on the home page and the east-west tote is under "Bags" and the large north-south bag is under "50s'"

All of you are great bag sleuths! Very impressive and definitely very technical when it comes to analysing the bags. I'm very impressed!

Thanks, Princess Imp. I have pm'ed you. Thanks for giving the instructions to see the pictures on NAP.

I hope to hear from the Celine purchasing manager next week when she returns from her buying trip. She will determine which model will be available in Singapore!

Which bag is this? Is this a medium size?

I viewed the enlarged photo above from celine.com. I now think that the shoulder strap could be very long. It looked like Jessica Stam gathered the length of the strap in her hand to produce that look on the runway. Or is it just her glove? Can someone clarify this?
