i think its just her glove. btw, that one that stam is wearing is the 'long' size and is one out of the 2 styles that has side pockets as well. its lambskin in the powder color and has a front pocket as well, but much flatter (theres a button if you look at NAP photos).

anyhoo, be sure to report back on what singapore is getting! we haven't yet figured if long or the large lambskin (the big one with 3 pockets SAs keep calling the medium with only one pocket large though) will be stocked.

i got a call from bal and the SA is still investigating apparantly.. and i'm stillll waiting for photos from bev hills and email from NAP.. i'm going to check up on them today and report back.

Maybe its jsut me but I find the celine website a little confusing.

oops, i should mention that the bags on the Celine website are on the first page if you click on 'spring/summer runway show' and scroll through.. they're just runway pics but has a description on names and sizes in a small textbox next to it..

a response from NAP! she says the long will be carried by them.. hm hm!

its still a little doubtful bc they said they didn't get the sample yet but i'm going to believe her.. bc it makes me happier

the bev hills SA still didn't email me yet

i'm beginning to suspect the 3 pockets (large + long) are named Solidago, despite what it says on their site.. which might be why SAs keep calling the one pocket medium the large.. and don't even mention the 3 pocket large until pointed out, which we know definately exists.

it doesn't seem like NAP would rename the bag.. so.. maybe calling and asking about the solidago would yield better results..

oh no.....i just got off the phone w/ celine ny again. they said the large that they've been quoting us $1800 from all the lookbooks IS the long shoulder bag, not the largest one we've seen pics of. therefore they are doing the long shoulder bag in cream and luggage. he said he was there to do the buys in paris, and that he's pretty sure:

1. they did not run the "suitcase" size at all. i.e. the large
2. they did not run the blush lambskin in either long shoulder or large style-- that the GM of Celine N. America wants that bag so bad, but they could not even get it for her b/c it didn't go into production.

we looked at NAP together on the phone and he confirmed that the long shoulder bag is the one he's been referring to as the large, and he said: "i would be very surprised if they told us we could not order it and then sold it to a retailer."

i'm still hoping against hope, but i guess this means all of us who are interested had better pre-register interest for the blush long shoulder bag on NAP because it seems like it might be our only place to get it if they're not mistaken...

p.s.: the mgr also said the solidago is white and brown. boo hoo.

why why why the heck is this bag harder to track then an 'it' bag..
i hope NAP doesn't let us down..
if indeed NAP ends up carrying it, maybe Celine intended it for european retail outlets only (although celine bond st didn't seem to carry it)?

are there any french speaking TFSers here?

Pinky*, I have been in contact too with Lucie from NAP to pre-reserve the bag and she gave me the same reply they gave you:

I am keeping my fingers crossed too that what Lucie said will be accurate.
I emailed her with the picture of Jessica Stam with the long shoulder bag and was very precise in my email that this is the one and only Celine bag that I am looking for.
So I am now ferevently hoping NAP will get this style in the blush lambskin!

As for Asia, I have been in contact with Celine Singapore. The SAs there are generally clueless. I guess I may personally make a trip down over the weekend to see what I can find out.

i asked ny about the special order, and they seemed quite reluctant. what is their deal? i told them i guarantee that they would sell out if they brought in half a dozen large blush lambskin, and they were like: "why would you want that suitcase? it's huge."
