guess what, i am on wait lists for exactly these 3 bags, 225 black, 225 grey, 226 grey although i am sure i won't get that 225 black coz NM will only get 2.

. This is fantastic. Now, I need to call my SA to find out exactly what size bags she has me down for. I'm getting a grey medium and a large black but I want to know what these sizes mean to this particular store.I love all the pics everyone is including! They are wonderful to look at

i just back from the Chanel store and saw the 2.55 bag. The 2.55 bag really look like a vintage bag and i would love to get the medium(256/257) or small (255?) size in grey color. (i think grey is the best!!!)

but my husband said the 255 dones't look good at all cos he is not interested a vintage-look handbag. he likes the 05FW shearling and tweed+fur handbag.

anyway, i think i will get the 2.55 grey later without goin' with him!

actually quite small?

Or is it like the 2.55 in the medium size, not the vintage but the one's we are used too...?

fabulous thread! i am debating getting a nice med grey versus a larger black one for my mom. i don't think i'll be getting both since i just got a watch recently...i know my mom would like a larger size than the current medium 2.55. she thinks the jumbo now is too big.

what to do what to do

I am in North Carolina, and I'm not sure any stores in this state will even get the bags...what would yall do in that case?? I called NM in Atlanta, and my name's down for the medium grey.

225 is just like a classic flap bag 2.55 size. Usally they display those in two sizes, the regular sizes and a jumbo size. If you have ever tried on the normal size, it is that size. It's "small" but not pewter bag small.

so, not to be too thick or anything, the bag that's the same size as the current bag is the one that ends in 5...so the one that ends in 6 is a bit bigger, right?

this is confoosing!

i too live in NC, and there are definitely NO stores here that would get a bag...closest thing would be in charlotte, and even they don't have chanel.

The style numbers increase, as the size does. Size specs are in the first post now.
