Well, I haven't paid the duties yet. I will be billed by Fedex in a few weeks. If I remember correctly with my first paddy. I think I paid around $120-$150.

Also, it's alittle bit cheaper from them than other stores.
Chloegal - how is it cheaper, and by how much? If you don't mind me asking?
Sorry, I ordered my first paddy from NAP and paid retail, but no VAT, no duties, no currency conversion fees. I am curious because I am weighing my ordering options for my 2nd paddy.

I heard that someone had to pay a currency conversion fee to their credit card company which equaled around 2% of the bag cost. Did you have to pay this fee?

Well,
LVR charged me $1120 without VAT.. well that's what it said on my cc bill and fedex will bill me later for duties about 10%.

yes, it's true that cc charges 2-3% for the conversion fee. that said, i think LVR is still cheaper, right? i ordered mine at NM...i figure it's an easy return vs the hassle even though it's cheaper.

That's a lot cheaper. At NM its $1500 + tax, so I usually end up paying $1586. I'm tempted.

When you ordered your paddy, do you remember if the color was described as "blanc"? There is a blanc one that looks white, but I don't want to get it and have it be the same cream color as last year! The mousse color looks interesting though.

My bag is blanc.. not mousse.
Yes, the only thing that I don't like about LVR is they charge your cc after 25 days of your order. I wish they charge your card once they have it in stock.. ready to be shipped. Also, there's always a risk when buying from overseas.. since you don't know what you will receive and getting an exchange or refund can be a pain since you have to pay for duty and high shipping fees.
I always feel safe from NM since you can return it for refund.

Has anyone noticed that the small "bouling" paddington on LVR's website is more expensive than the regular size? Is this an error??

that sounds right -- it's larger than the regular paddington and has the zip around bottom.
