Hello, was wondering what everyone thought of the Coach SUEDE POCKET SATCHEL with gold trim? It is a limited edition and was seen I believe in US weekly. It is 498.00, is it worth the price? Thanks!!!

i think luna showed me a bcbg one that was very very similar but much cheaper... dunno, i think they're alright but not too crazy about them

I just got the Coach catalogue today. The handbags this season are off-the-chains, they are gorgeous. The only bag that won't sell is the blown up signature print in primary colors.

Who designs for Coach? The designer(s) have really progressed from the crap 3 years ago to off-the-chains.

I love that bag, I think it could easily segway to F/W and possibly S/S 2006.

I bought the last one in IL with the gold trim. I am worried about having a suede bag. I am not sure it will hold up well over time?

that color combo is much better...
well with suede they have protectors and stuff i guess, but ultimately it will get dirty... especially in that color. you have to really watch out for the corners of it.

I am totally worried about the bag. I have never owned a suede bag before. I have owned a suede coat and hate that is picks up odors from food, smoke, basically, things you can not avoid when going out. I am really good with my bags and the bags has feet along with leather on the corners. I am just not sure. It is really cute, but I am not sure if it is cute enough for $500. It seems like that is not a lot of money to spend on a bag anymore.

I think you can definitely do better, honestly...
Don't get a bag that you'd have to fret about all the time... it may ultimately end up just sitting around in your closet and that's a good five hundred you could use to save up for the ultimate bag or to find something better. It should be something you feel comfortable with and can wear confidently. I have a suede coach bag from waaaay back... and it has held up very well and I've not noticed any markings... but that was a dark rich brown so it wouldn't be nearly as noticeable as this. You wanna get your full $500 worth so choose a bag you can use happily

I think I want it only because I had to hunt one down because they are sold out everywhere. I guess I am going to have to figure out if I really like it. I am not normally a big fan of Coach bags so this is an out of the ordinary purchase for me. It is nice that it has a compartment for everything and I do think it is cute. I guess I have to figure out if it is $500 cute. I am normally a Louis Vuitton bag carrier. I have become so sick of the logos and also the price increases are just absurd now. I wanted something different and something under 700.00. I find it funny that it is so hard to find a good bag for under 700.00.

hehe I know the feeling... about wanting and hunting down a bag that's sold out

i think many people here do as well.

i've noticed though that coach bags... with maybe the exception of those old leather "classic" bags of theirs... don't seem to hold up or last very long. as ridiculous LV prices are... they do last very long and takea good beating.
