first of all, they never made this model - is it supposed to be Mono Vernis or Mono Mat? aside from the black Lexington Fleur pochette, to the best of my knowledge, LV never made black Vernis. im sure someone's gonna tell me "what about those black Anouchka evening clutches from FW2001?" it's not actually Vernis leather, but Mini Monogram GLACÉ. and the round quatrefoil - the flower within a circle - is wrong. that's what i look at first to spot a fake Vernis, Mat or Glace leather. and the supposedly vachetta natural leather trim doesn't even look like real leather.

sorry.

it looks weird to me, is too cheap and the fact that it has the wrong tag for a bayswater in darwin oak (perhaps lifted from a real bag?) all make me suspicious. also, the balenciagas he/she is selling are fake. sorry.

i know. the balenciaga looks fake. but the mulberry actually looks fine. i got the bag and am going to take it to barney's new york soon. but still... i would be totally embarassed if i was told it's a fake one. i didn't pay attentiont to the tag until i get the bag. but is it true there is super AAA replica ones???

I'm so sorry but that is a fake. No doubt about it. It has the serial number that appears on all the fakes. PLus, I used to have the genuine article. I hope the seller is as good as their word and gives you your money back. If not, definitely report them to eBay.

Looks odd to me. I'd be leery of anyone who is selling great quantities of the same/similar bag - because unless they're a compulsive shopper or a consignment shop (which still wouldn't explain it entirely), they're a counterfeiter. Good luck, and welcome to tFS

i don't know. the reason i bid on their product is because they do have an outstanding record, over 5000. and they do have a company with a working phone. (someone does pick up the phone). and as far as i know, mulberry does allow franchising. this seller appears to be a "wholesale" seller. that's why i was taking the risk.... but strange, strange... always something to learn.

Hope everything's okay.
It makes me so mad. Six months ago there were NO fakes, now...

it's strange. i just check all the items of the mulberry bags this seller. they all have the same serial number. gee... i wish i did more research before digging into it. but still, with this bag in my hands, this is such a 'great' replica. no flaw. i can't really see any fakeness in it. this is sad, really sad!!

A woman who sold a fake Louis Vuitton handbag on eBay for almost £1,000 has been given a suspended prison sentence.

Here is the link to the original article on the Telegraph

Well they sure made an example out of her. Not that I think it will even make a dent in the counterfeiting business but hooray for justice

On a side note: Shouldn’t "they" be going after the manufactures of these fakes?

And the woman who bought the fake suggested the seller take it back and offer it to the losing bidder. Nice. (Not.)

I'm ambivalent about the child-labour article someone posted - it's true that the conditions are horrible, but the reasons for that are much, much larger than the market for faux luxury goods. And Andy Spade's (I think it was him) comment was telling: their customers are purchasing exclusivity, and it's the designer's responsibility to protect that choice. He's effectively saying it is about elitism, not intellectual property or protecting quality standards.

And for levity - this faker on eBay made me laugh out loud - Louis Balenciaga?? Who dat?

*No ebay links please*
