first of all, they never made this model - is it supposed to be Mono Vernis or Mono Mat? aside from the black Lexington Fleur pochette, to the best of my knowledge, LV never made black Vernis. im sure someone's gonna tell me "what about those black Anouchka evening clutches from FW2001?" it's not actually Vernis leather, but Mini Monogram GLACÉ. and the round quatrefoil - the flower within a circle - is wrong. that's what i look at first to spot a fake Vernis, Mat or Glace leather. and the supposedly vachetta natural leather trim doesn't even look like real leather.

Hello! Can any of you experienced fashionistas out there clue me in as to how to authenticate a Prada handbag? The one I am considering is blue, leather, described as a large hobo, being sold by a private party who claims to have purchased it at Neiman Marcus about 5 years ago..and no longer has sales receipt or authenticity cards. Can anyone tell me what to ask with regards to what on the bag itself would prove or disprove it's authenticity? THANKS!! :-)
