I absolutely love this bag, the way it's made (high quality, better than some high end brands) I love the leather and the hardware. I bought one in Aug'04 in black. I sold it to a friend of mine a month ago and miss it a lot. I'm planning to get the white one for the summer.

The BCBG? Yea.. I love it.

Kora.. Don't get white! It gets so yucky dirty! Unless you take very good care of your bags.. I saw some girl walking to school one day.. had the white one.. it was filthy.. it made me sad.

This bag below cost less than 500 to make.

I've only seen one other EL bag that she was actually carrying herself. It was a black hobo.. and had the stringy things.. I duno.. it was basically the same.. only in black.. and not multicolored ribbon things.

Needed a few knock around bags for traveling and here are a few that I bought and hopefully will be getting soon (and yes, they are excitedly all under $500.)

-Large Bulga in Fushia ($435)

-Kooba Alex Large Slouchy Shoulder Bag
($425)

-Tocca's Edith Tote ($308) Reminded me of the sixties!

Fabulous thread!

$500 is about what I spend on my bags. At that price they're still great quality, it's just a matter of finding the right shape and style. I have two Lolli bags which were $400 CAD a piece.

The higher end bags I covet are thousands, and the max I can personally justify spending at this time in my life on a bag is $1,000; but the only thing I want around that price is a Balenciaga.

Thank you for all the fab suggestion on this thread

i think the bulgas are cute but theyre not classic...they just seem like one of those 'oh soandso wore it and everyones gotta have it right now' things

meowmix> i agree. its more of a casual throwaround bag than a "classic"... but i dont think everyone needs to ask "is this going to be a classic? " when they are buying everyday bags...

lacefab4> yeah thats the one!
