Hey guys, I just came across this. Are they making the Nightingale's with gold hardware now? I'm debating whether to get it with or without (the version we have seen) the hardware.

Thoughts?

I'm so pleased that we're all getting the bags we want and giving T&D so much business!!

The Violet is ready to go!! I'm so excited!!! I'm not sure what I'm going to wear it with....but I'll figure it out and make it work!!! Luckily I will soon be back into my normal wardrobe. Most maternity clothes are so bad!! I've just bought regular clothes in strech (I love H&M for their tees and tanks) and I just bought stretch low rise jeans one size up and they still fit.

Did I tell you I'm having another boy??!! Two little boys to chase around. I'm going to be one busy girl!!!

Anyway, if there is anyone else who wants a Violet and hasn't contacted me, this really is your last chance so don't delay!!!

My LV bags from PFC

Well they arrived in record time; yes after my fretting (ie buyer's remorse really), the bags arrived 3 days after leaving China. I ended up with FIVE bags to grab the shipping and they are perfect (to my untutored eye). Stamps on zippers are straight, red on the handles (is only dye and I suspect in the real ones it's a thin strip of red leather?) is neat, stitching is tight. I couldn't be more pleased. Of course the leather trim is rather light and I guess oxidization comes with time (like I care). Five bags for under $400 (incl shipping) I'm a total convert.

Question: in the real ones did I read that one side should be upside-down mongrams on the canvas because cut fr one strip? Is that a give away?

Talking about dyes running...years ago I wore a brightly coloured RED hat to the (horse) races and it poured rain--my hat dripped onto my every shrinking cream crepe dress. Nice look hey? Do they still make crepe dresses? Sigh. Back to the 1980s for me...

Cheers all and thanks for your encouragement; I await my Loewe bag. I won't post LV pictures cos what's there to show but if anyone wants--pm me.

upside down monograms are correct, but only on pieces that use one strip.

the leather of that black fake isn't smooth, it's pebbled. the authentic ones with the metal hardware have a smoother leather that's washed so it's wrinkly. catiny has one identical to this on ioffer. it looks really good except for the lining (why does one detail always have to be so off??)

Alejandro, is the lining really off? To my untrained and bottom-lined blind eyes, I can't see the specific differences...

The leather should be VERY pale when you first get it and it will patina with use and age and become that lovely tan shade. The authentics are pale as can be when new.

And with a lot of the bags they're made from one piece of leather (like the Speedys and the Carryalls) so the LV's are upside down on one side. Also just like the authentic.

I would LOVE to see pics!!
