Interesting. I don't know much about BVs, so I was just curious. Sometimes I wonder if having a replica is worth it though, since much of the allure of BVs are their luxury. Still, it's a nice woven bag, and probably noone near me knows what Bottega Veneta is.

The Hobo is lined with suede -- or an ultrasuede type of material in all the replicas I have seen.

The Cabat is the large tote that is one of the BV iconic signature pieces. It is NOT lined with anything and so the workmanship of the interior has to be quite nice. I believe there is a lot of handwork on the replica Cabat bags -- at least the supplier who I bought mine from told me this -- said it took about 2 days to make.

I have one of Jacky's reissue-esque black caviar bags and I have the authentic, and side-by-side there is no comparison as the authentic will win out every time. Of course there is a huge price difference. People who really know Chanel will spot the fake every time, but how many people really KNOW Chanel? Few.

which bag do you have, 2136 with the reissue chain, or the one with the hybrid chain?

Yes, it's the 2136 of Jacky's reissue. I've never used it. After I got the authentic hybrid I had no use for the rep. The biggest difference is the size of the chain, the authentic chain is smaller and more refined. But if someone didn't know the difference, they couldn't tell it wasn't authentic. Guess I'll have to give it away.

I was going to get the Chanel Ale has but I just used the rest of my bday money to pay back taxes b/c my DH didn't bother to pay for 3 years and I paid off '05. I adore the man but thank God now he has me to handle all the financial stuff. Anyway, he knows he owes me now and he's steadily been getting raises (he'll be getting one a month now through November) so I'm sure I'll be placing a large order with Jacky soon! And Jacky gave me a credit b/c of the broken pushlock on the Mahina so that'll be nice!
I won't be getting a blue Bbag now but I'll still pass all the info that was emailed to me on to T&D.

I just got my natural day GGH from T&D but I must confess that Im pretty disappointed
The bag came with some dark spots on ...oxidized zippers..bad lining...

I just received my Natural Day GGH from T&D too but I'm very satisfied. I do see some spots on the leather like the ones madamerousseau has shown but it truly does not bother me as overall the bag is divine. I'm so exited it's finally here and feel it was worth the wait.

I've also ordered a Vert Gazon First and a Sandstone Work to keep my Cornflower blue City company and I can't wait for them.

BTW, does anybody know who has the best Chanel Caviar clutches ? What lining is best, the black or red ? Do these clutches scream fake ?
