Congrats on your bag, Luna, it is beautiful! I was lurking on this thread for a while, waiting for you to post pics of your bag because I want to get one for my sister for Christmas. Your pics have convinced me....hmm, maybe I'll get one for myself too!

Edit: I've seen a couple of black Spys IRL but not up close - how close would you say it is to the real thing?

Yay Luna! The bag looks great! I'll bet you can't wait to get it officially at Christmas!

So, I have a question for everyone who’s purchased an NBF medium in black…

Do you notice that the leather on the front is just a bit thinner than the leather on the back? I feel like the leather on the back of my bag is a bit thicker, more uniform and smoother in texture, not the kind of cracked leather look that it has on the front, yet it still shows the distressed lines and is VERY soft and supple(the first image is the back of my bag). But, the front is of thinner leather and has a kind of cracked look to it that is also a VERY soft and supple texture (the second picture, is the front of my bag).

Can you see the difference in leathers in these pictures? It’s subtle I know, but I was wondering if this is normal? I guess I’m a bit self-conscious about it since I’ve never seen a black medium in real life and up close and while I would never try to pass mine off as authentic, I don’t want to be spotted a mile away either…

What do you think? Please tell me that I'm imagining things and am being neurotic ...

Shoptfs: Tony and Dom told me in their last email to me(last night) that they Just received the new logo hardware (Fendi instead of Tendi) so i'm pretty sure the black hobo is on it's way.

Kimair: Thanks I love the bag.. can't wait to use it.. the leather is so amazingly soft.. and everything seems to be as correct as it can be...

Silk: I'm glad my photos have helped you out. Sorry there couldn't be more pics. I would say that this bag is incredibly close (if not identical) to the real thing... the handle drop is just right.. the leather has the turtle texture, etc. The only thing that I can see a little iffy about the bag is that the Fendi logo lining is a little crunchy(as other people have mentioned...) but I am sure that with use, this will go away...

UmmZain: I'm sure there are variations in the leather like this even on the authentic Balenciaga. If you are truly having a problem with your bag, they should have a new batch ready by wednesday(or so they said) with a more oval shaped ring on the top handles, the correct plates, and a more waxy distressed leather... I think those are the words he used.

Ugh! How many days it until Christmas?

Hi!!!!!
This is my first post in this thread, but I've been lurking for some time .
I've just posted a question in NBF asking when would they have mediums in distressed black leather. So this is good news to me, that they might be expecting them by wednesday!
I'm certainly not an expert even because there aren't any B. stores here in Portugal, so after reading so many compliments to the NBF here, I decided to give it a try. So I'm trusting you TFS experts.

NBF said that they used that plasticky zucca lining (like the one on my hobo) to protect the untreated leather just incase something spills inside...now im still curious if the authentic fendi bags have the same type of cloth used in the lining anyway..

I need some advice. A couple of weeks ago, I ordered one of the last factory samples of the chocolate weekender from NBF. Mostly out of curiosity, really. I ordered it late one night, then in the morning was like "did I dream that I did that, or did I really...?"

And today it arrived. And my husband is furious. He's actually been kind of supportive of my Balenciaga habit - at least he understands the appeal of the leather/colors/workmanship, and collecting something I love. But in that context, he is completely mystified as to why I would buy a replica. He wants me to return it. And truthfully, now that my curiosity is satisfied, I don't really want to keep it.

But...it doesn't seem fair to return it to Tony & Dom. It's not like I didn't know what it was when I bought it. Should I ask them, do you think? I don't want to sell it on eBay. I don't know.

I dunno, I think Ioffer and Ebay are kind of the same in the way that if you buy something... you can only really return it unless the item wasn't described correctly.... Not because your husband thinks you should return it...

It's not exactly a department store, ya know?

You might be able to sell it to one of the other folks on this forum for what you paid -- it would still be cheaper than couriering it back to China. I'll ask around -- I have several girlfriends who are into handbags. My husband would also totally flip if he knew I had started buying replicas -- he's a real straight arrow, and I guess it is shady.

I really do not reccommend transactions through tFS as it is against tFS policy.
