Love Jcrew - mainly for the looks of their things. Honestly, I refuse to pay full-price for any of their stuff (see below) but I DO study their catalogs for "looks" to imitate. Like a casual chic bible.
So, on their quality (and not paying full price): basically, it sucks. I have so many things from them that are just shoddy. Bought a twin set this summer, on sale, of course, and the thing has holes in it. After wearing it once.
So, be careful - and be aware that most of their stuff goes on sale eventually.

But yes - that bag is fab.
I'll remember that. Cute stuff, shoddy quality. Sounds like The Gap, though The Gap has improved, in my opinion.
My sister is thinking about getting this zebra bag from J Crew, that is about $600 and is featured in the new Instyle magazine. I have no experience with the quality of J Crew bags, so can anyone attest if they are any good? $600 from J Crew to me seems excessive, for a few hundred more you can get a better known bag that has a reputation for quality (I am partial to balenciaga and chloe myself). Thoughts????
