A lot of bags for the coming a/w season are little clutches with jewels as in the Dolce & Gabbana, and this nice shape from Fendi. Maybe Jimmy Choo will go for something with sleek little straps and stones.

I do like some of the tulitas, but I think they're more Dior or Gucci than Jimmy Choo.

This Fendi is quite cool, Fendi are constantly coming up with new designs, I would love to work for Fendi!

Jimmy Choo bags are so tired! Wayyy too expensive for the style; they look like any bag you could buy off a generic label. It'd be nice if they'd use lush fabrics with leather instead of ugly hardware but something tells me they won't catch on to that.

Stick to shoes, Jimmy.

Like so many fashion companies, they're scared of taking a risk and coming up with something original , so they just take elements from the most popular selling bags at the time. The Tulita is a fusion of Gucci hobo and Luella straps, with a hint of Birkin. I suppose that's what all commercial bag designers are forced to do. When I was at Karen Millen, two of the head designers discarded my original sketches and put a Dolce and Gabbana bag on my desk which they'd bought. Copy this, they said! What about my big furry clutch, I said, it'll sell well I think. They ignored my comments and pointed at the Dolce and Gabbana bag. So I designed an interpretation of that Dolce and Gabbana bag. I think too many companies are also worried about coming up with an instant classic, bags become classics after many years, or after a particular celeb has shown off that bag at the right moment, like Grace Kelly or Jackie O.

There's a lot of suits in fashion thesedays too, when I say suits I mean the corporate guys who are only interested in a few bucks. Fashion has always been a business, but never so much like today with huge companies running fashion houses. It's just the same in my games business, great ideas and interesting things have to be watered down to appeal to a mainstream. Some cool stuff gets through, thankfully.

Hmmm, no-one knows what happened to that Dolce and Gabbana bag I got told to copy, it just kind of vanished soon after!

So, Jimmy Choo, come up with something sexy, sleek and feminine.

Good job Fendi, Versace and Chloe always seem to come up with new exciting shapes and colours each season.

Oh the politics of handbags...

Jimmy Choo Fall Bags

My absolute fave. Tie-dye python, very catchy. $3,600

I've never been a fan of Jimmy Choo bags. I like metallic puthon evening bags, but not keen on that buckles and hardware.

^ i agree, i like the first bag, but i think the wide buckle, and the brown leather straps really detract from the bag-i think something a lot smaller and simpler would have looked much better. the tie die python is pretty tho.

I still feel that the Jimmy Choo bags need to have their own distinct look.
Thus far, it seems like every design seems inspired by bags from other houses.

Hmm, I can't say I'm crazy about either one of those bags but the shape of the first one is okay...
