Got my catalogue yesterday in the mail so I thought I would post some of the things that I found interesting (or ugly). A couple variations of the ramona are quite nice actually. The details might not show up that well (sorry) but the ones with the super thin distressed leather look quite cool. It's too bad that the hobo picture didn't turn out that well since it looks quite cool in the catalogue. all pics scanned by me.
yes the new treatments they are doing to the ramona is nice. when i rescan the catalogue page you will see an XL Ramona which is UGLY. The more hobo north/south ramona (by ramona i mean it has a double row of grommets or what have you) is quite nice as well.
^^Meg, I know which ugly XL Ramona you're talking about. I saw it at the Choo trunk show back in November, and it's not any prettier IRL either.
The new burgundy color for the Ramonas also seems a lot darker in the pics. At the trunk show it wasn't a deep or bright burgundy at all -- hard to describe, but it was more muted with mauve/salmon undertones. I'm hoping that maybe the color will be a little different IRL than the samples I saw.
By the way, I take back what I said about the trunk show ramona being a muted burgundy color. I actually picked up one of the new burgundy ramonas, and absolutely LOVE the leather and snakeskin detailing on it. The color is a lot deeper and richer than what I had seen back in November -- much closer to the burgundy color in the pics you posted.
Sadly, and after a lot of thought, I may not be keeping it. I tried it on with so many different work and casual summer clothes, and it just seemed much too big especially with lighter summer clothing. It also seemed larger than my patent bordeaux ramona even though they are the same size. I think the stiffer leather on the new ramonas may be the reason -- it doesn't slouch very much as compared to the leather Choo has used in the past.
I think I am going to wait until the new biker leather Rikis come out to compare its size against the Ramona. Maybe it will be a better size for me (Saks lists the measurements as only a tad smaller than the Ramona).

^The Ramona is not heavy at all, compared to the Paddington!
Didn't Ramonas use to cost around USD$1800 or so???
Can anyone explain to me why does the latest burgundy Ramona on NAP cost $2800! I think it's made of distressed leather and it looks lovely, but the only complain that I have is the canvas strap and the price!
